RUSH: We got CNN and an incredible piece of journalism. I guess they do that now and then at CNN. Accidental journalism, out of Baltimore. "Baltimore Police Investigation Doesn't Support Some of Prosecution's Charges." This piece undercuts and undermines Marilyn Mosby...
I've been watching the news this morning, as I always have these TV monitors on, and now there are people openly worrying if Mosby's case fails, if Baltimore will burn to the ground.
I literally saw somebody speculate about that possibility. That if Mosby's case fails against the six cops, if it fails, that Baltimore is gonna burn, and they're getting worried about it exactly as we knew would happen. You know, the euphoria of the original charges in the announcement, no justice, no peace, and now reality is beginning to settle in.
The defendants are not gonna roll over and play ball and make Marilyn Mosby look like a hero. The defendants are gonna work as hard as they can to get out from under this. People are now beginning to look at all of the irregularities here, and apparently there was a police investigation that shows a lot of different results than what Marilyn Mosby announced. We, of course, will get into that in great detail as the program unfolds before your very eyes and ears.
There's starting to be wild conspiracy theories bandied about, and I want to nuke one of them right now. Mr. Snerdley, tell me if you've heard this one. That Marilyn Mosby purposely overcharged the black cops so that they would be exonerated, but properly charged the white cops so that they would be convicted. She's not that smart. I'm sorry, folks. She isn't that smart, as are none of the people working with her. They might be that devious. I'm sorry, at some point we have to be realistic here. Marilyn Mosby just isn't that smart. And, besides, one of the charges, well, the driver, the only one charged with murder is a black guy, so it kind of throws the theory out of the wazoo.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Oh, and, by the way, what's-her-name, Loretta Lynch says that she is considering the request of the Baltimore mayor to go in and totally rework the police department. Yeah. Grab sound bite 21.
This is Senate appropriations subcommittee hearing on the Department of Justice budget request and the new attorney general, Loretta Lynch, testified, said this. You know, the mayor there, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, asked the DOJ to come in and fix the police department, and this was her response.
LYNCH: We're currently in the process of considering the request from city officials and community and police leaders for an investigation into whether the Baltimore city police department engaged in a pattern or practice of civil rights violations. And I intend to have a decision in the coming days.
RUSH: Really? Really? It's still up in the air whether you're going? Ha. Ha. Bunch of saps here. What, can we expect in the next couple of days: "We have decided to turn down the request of the mayor in Baltimore and we are not going to determine whether or not the city of Baltimore police department engaged in a pattern of civil rights violation." Not gonna do that. I mean, it's not like they're going into an all-white police department.
“if Mosby’s case fails, if Baltimore will burn to the ground. “
What touched off the LA Riots was the acquittal of the cops involved. They had been way overcharged and the jury just didn’t think it was warranted. Had tehy been charged with assault they probably would have been convicted, and no riot.
Now, if you WANT to follow a recipe for riots and flames, you’d follow the one that led to LA burning. I wonder if that’s what she’s cooking up here, is the release before trial, or acquittal in a trial. With the right chanting from the media and a few statements from Obama, it would make a big riot.
And if these dysfunctional losers in the streets don’t get the verdict they want, watch out. The rioting will be way worse.
Mob rule.....fast becoming commonplace in Obama’s America.
From what I have seen and heard of Baltimore if it burned to the ground America would not lose much.
Grand Juries take their business pretty seriously for the most part. If there’s nothing there, and I don’t see any clear proof of illegality, then this will end like the Brown case. No charges. or minor ones.
I do not think she knows her charges are largely baseless. She really believes in the “Civil Rights” Rhetoric and that fact coupled with a basic stupidity will run up against reality.
She doesn't know these charges will fail. She isn't that smart. I'm sure she still believes she is going to become some sort of civil rights hero.
I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt in early days... a "wait and see" approach. But as more information comes to light, it is clear that she, like the mayor, is in over her head.
Obviously, something went wrong during the arrest... not necessarily criminal... but we will never know what it was. I think she's blown it right out of the gate.
Oh well...that explains all the adult illiteracy there.....from Cong Cummings, the Police commissioner, the Prosecutor, her councilman hubby, the Mayor, the Chief of Police...... who all blamed the cops for the looting and burning.....
.....and unless Baltimore minorities are given brand new Cadillacs, govt credit cards, free liquor and meals at top restaurants......nothing will change.
GMTA. See my post immedately after yours.
We basically agree.
yeah.......the coroner apparently did not venture a guess on that as it’s not normally his job.
What he said was homicide, which only means that it was not suicide or natural causes, in his opinion.
I would venture a guess that he made up his mind as to the homicide when he became convinced that because of the lack of seatbelt restraints, the death was caused by a broken neck/back due to being thrown against the side of the van while being transported.
My understanding is that this would be difficult but not impossible to occur, because there was very little room in the back of the van to have gained enough momentum to accomplish the severity of the injury.
That coupled with the witness info about the guy throwing himself about in the van, leads me to believe that the victim may have contributed greatly to his own injury.
This the thing I feared most. Stupid dweebs from the public education system coming into positions of power.
So much of what is reported changes from day to day. The witness reportedly recanted. This is a situation that has a pox on a multitude of houses.
I heard the CVS store was stripped clean before being burned. About the only this left was father’s day cards.
First the verdict......then the trial.
Not only has Baltimore jumped the shark...
...they also jumped through the magic mirror.
I agree. not gonna be an easy GJ case.
more riots when the cops get off.
The Mayor ordered the police to go to CVS only AFTER it started burning. She didn't want any of the looters or arsonists to get hurt after the fire started. But what about teens getting their hands on illegal and dangerous prescription drugs DURING the looting? NO PROBLEM!
Agreed. My comment was directed more to the “why did they rush to make an arrest”?
Are you kidding? She’s just doing what Team Odungo orders her to do.. Her overcharging ASSURES more riots, and they hope next time a nationwide race war. They only hope CVS rebuilds their store before THAT happens. More goodies! And let’s see how ‘Jade Helm’ plays into this. There could be a master plan here involving many players.
