Report: Brady Wouldn’t Give Texts or Emails to Deflategate Investigators

The Deflategate report did not reach a concrete conclusion, and investigators say Tom Brady is partially to blame.

While Brady agreed to be questioned, he declined to hand over pertinent texts and emails despite the requested communication being “limited to the subject matter of our investigation,” the report said.

“Our inability to review contemporaneous communications and other documents in Brady’s possession and control related to the matters under review potentially limited the discovery of relevant evidence and was not helpful to the investigation,” the report continued.

Investigators still obtained some text communications between Brady and the equipment managers they say manipulated the balls.

On Jan. 19, Brady sent equipment assistant John Jastremski texts reading “You good Jonny Boy?” and “You doing good?”

The report includes a response from Jastremski reading: “Still nervous; so far so good though” and another saying Brady would likely be questioned.

“FYI...Dave will be picking your brain later about it. He’s not accusing me, or anyone...trying to get to bottom of it. He knows it’s unrealistic you did it yourself...”

The report did not identify Dave.

Silly me, I hadn't thought of this angle. It's been a very short time since Brady didn't join the team at the WH, and this report just happens to come out now, not a month ago or a month from now. Coincidence? One never knows, but with the political games that are being played these days, suspicion is not unreasonable.

Besides Doug from upland using it as a way to get at Hillary, I'd wager that 30% of every team's fanbase are NE haters. I am not a fan of NE but I do love how Belichick snubs the media.
Any fines that the NFL must think is necessary should start with the refs that allowed the balls on the field at the wrong PSI. Who is gonna investigate the NFL's handling of this to assure it was impartial and fair??

Don’t blame him for not turning over correspondence - mostly personal, no doubt.

A good investigator can always find some word or phrase to be turned into a damning statement, maybe taken out of context, maybe interpreted different than the writer’s, etc. Without a subpoena, give them nothing.

He knows they are after him, and so do we.
