Just a few years ago the SC overturned the DOMA saying essentially the federal government had no business defining marriage. Now they have no problem with being absolute hypocrites by redefining marriage.

The Supreme Court Brought us Civil War, Segregation, Abortion and Deathcare.
I wouldn't put my faith in any them.
The Court hasn't really worked the way the Founders intended, too much ideologies and legislating from the Bench.
The Problem is I don't know how to fix it.
Trust the Court to whims of Elections? Or Fixed Term limits would create packed courts.

the USSC set precedence it does not have to respect prior rulings. This is why the “stare decisis” question in senate confirmations are just a show joke for rubes.

And Scalia will formulate part 3 in his dissent showing how the Court continues to be a haven for hypocrisy. Although does not matter but at least his writ will be in the record.
