A couple in Florida attracted quite a bit of attention last summer, when a video of them having the often-cliched “sex on the beach” made its way to YouTube for all to see.
A description of the explicit video was provided by WFLA:
The couple didn’t hold back.
Bold and brazen with their bodies, they were grinding in full view. Bradenton Beach Police were called, and the couple was eventually arrested.
The indecent encounter was captured by a sunbathing great-grandmother on her iPhone. There are claims even a three-year-old saw the couple.
On Monday, the couple appeared before a judge. TIME reports:
Jose Caballero, 40, and Elissa Alvarez, 20, were convicted of two counts each of lewd and lascivious behavior for having sex on Bradenton Beach in 2014. The jury took only 15 minutes to reach a verdict.
As part of their sentence, the pair faces up to 15 years in prison each. Attorney for the couple Ronald Kurpiers told TIME:
“’It’s a horrifically harsh potential penalty for what they’re alleged to have done and that’s really the rub here,’ he said.”

Arresting officer Eric Hill from Bradenton Beach commented:
“This isn’t an after-hours disco that people can use for a garbage can. This is the root of family.”
Resident Ray Schmitz agrees:
“It’s ridiculous, it shouldn’t happen, there’s a time and place for everything, not for on the beach. I’m proud of our law enforcement for stopping this!”
While a date for sentencing has yet to be determined, the couple must also become registered sex offenders.
Who said i’m fine with it? Of course I’m not fine with it. And I also don’t think it warrants 15 years in prison. The fact that you do indicates that you are clearly sympathize with Muslim sensibilities when it comes to punishment for what is essentially a victimless crime.
And before you say that the viewers, even children, are victims.... please. They could see the same behavior at the zoo. They’ll survive.

Yes. Save the 15 year sentences for thing like burglaries, assault and battery and repeat offenders. Our jails are filled enough with long sentences for petty offenses at taxpayers expense.

This stuff happens daily on the beaches there—I know I live off of Collins during the Summer. It’s like the trend of polar bear hunting. You won’t nip it until a judge finally slaps down a “harsh” sentence (or enough yutes get killed by ccw holders).
I’m frankly sick of it. And potentially having my kids exposed to this animalistic behavior in public really pisses me off. So yes, I’m all for the judge FINALLY throwing the book at somebody doing it. It’s past time if you ask me.
And BTW....I haven’t mentioned anything about the allah moon god.

I noticed that taking a girl for an evening walk on the beach was a guarantee, it was a pretty amazing thing, and I don’t know why the beach and the ocean and the evening, affects them so much.

They should have taken the plea bargain that was offered more than once. Stupid in more ways than one.
Having been raised in South Florida, I will admit to more than my share of carnal pleasure at the sea shore, however it was never in broad daylight nor within sight of any other people.
What they did was rude and obscene. Should they get 15 years in prison for it? No. Should they be on the sex offenders registry? Yep.
Al Sharpton owes 4 million in back taxes and has a show on MSNBC.
