NEW YORK (AP) — In a deeply personal response to outbreaks of racially motivated protests, President Barack Obama on Monday blamed a lack of opportunity in minority communities and harsher treatment of black and Hispanic men by police for fueling a sense of "unfairness and powerlessness."
The country's first black president called for a nationwide mobilization to reverse inequalities and said the cause will remain a mission for the rest of his presidency and his life. "There are consequences to indifference," Obama said.
Helping launch a foundation to assist young minorities, Obama said the catalysts of protests in Ferguson, Missouri, and in Baltimore were the deaths of young black men and "a feeling that law is not always applied evenly in this country."

The law is applied evenly. The truth is that blacks commit more crime. The law is even for almost everyone with the exception of wealthy politicians and their money men.
That group includes you, Obama, and your whole administration.

Crime is pretty low where I live in Maryland.
Not much drug dealing here. No violent crime.
Police don't feel like I am a threat when they pull me over.

Maybe libs like Obama, Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake and Marilyn Mosby need to stop defending and encouraging criminal thug like behavior in their kingdoms like Baltimore, and then those residents will be able to rejoin civilization.
Good point. What about the parents? If he wasn’t so busy breaking down the natural family,and the community supports (churches that actually teach christian values) he might find the families can take care of themselves.
What I don’t get is how he can use equality rhetoric to call for one race to receive special treatment.

Then take the money ‘saved’ and give it to burned out shop owners. It cuts the cost of insurance - allows stores to be in undesirable neighborhoods, and rewards appropriate behavior. It also sets the responsible members of the community against the thugs and takes away the 'glamor' or rioting.

Why it will stop riots:
It sets members of the community against their thugs and takes away the 'glamor' of rioting. Rioting becomes a pocketbook issue as most thugs live off people who live off the government.
People in the hood will start taking responsibility for their own thugs.
Cities will be given the money ‘saved’ (the 5% cut from welfare and disability for 3 months). Half will be mandated to the local police and fire departments - the other half distributed to shop owners burned out.
Incentives switched.
Cost of insurance will be cut. This allows stores to function in undesirable neighborhoods, and it rewards appropriate behavior - while in essence giving the finger to thugs.
Then
Set up drug houses in inner cities where residents ( and white boy frats) can receive free drugs as long as drugs are used on premises... This stops the only real thug inner city business... Takes the profit out of selling drugs and relieves cops of having to chase down dealers.
Mainstream businesses can produce the drugs - drug purity and safety will go up - and price will go down (resulting in the 'drug giveaway NOT costing much)... This one act will break the back of black street gangs as they'll have little to offer beyond lower class street whores.
With the 'community' finally standing up against their thugs, police will be safer, neighborhoods will be safer and the city will save money.
