Right now, I am 36 minutes by car to Garland - I know the area as I used to live there.
On another thread I said I was hemming a pair of pants when I read on FR, two terrorists were killed in Garland and I switched to a local TV station and there it was, the situation still ongoing. I didn't know whether to continue to hem those pants, or get my handgun and then continue to hem those pants.
Everyone should have a loaded handgun easily accessible to him/her. There is no way I would have an unloaded handgun and the ammo be in the attic or locked in a safe that took time to open. My weapons are loaded and no kid could get to them.
There there is the extended family member who carries a 45 handgun. When his live in girlfriend asked if he would shoot to save her life if someone attacked her, he didn't answer - he waited and waited to answer and then said, “I might get in trouble if I shot someone.”
He is only carrying that weapon to feel macho because he wouldn't shoot to save his companion's life. Have I said both of them are liberal to the left of Stalin?
Don't have a weapon if you aren't going to shoot it to save a loved one’s life. Stupid liberals.
It's best not to answer those direct questions directly. Especially when people push you for an answer. After all you don't want some dumb prosecutor making cause célèbre out of you simply because you honestly said "yes, I'll shoot to kill".
If you want to conclude that means he's a coward that's your opinion. But he may be wondering what might be made of his remarks. At least he's got it, so you'll find out what he's really made of should the time come, god forbid. I suspect if he were truly a committed liberal he wouldn't be carrying.
