Two men were shot in a parking lot outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland Sunday afternoon, SWAT officials told News 8.
Those men possibly had explosives on them, SWAT officials said. Everyone at the center, which was hosting a Muhammad Art exhibit, was told to find a safe place inside the building.
SWAT members were at the scene for the event.

Rowlett/Sachse Scanner reported on Facebook that a suspect was inside a nearby Walmart, off Garland Avenue and Naaman Forest Boulevard, with a hand grenade.

I was going to say... staging a jihad attack in TX isn't too bright. Had these guys managed to get into the event, they would have discovered to everyone there was armed.

As soon as differences are ironed out in a conference committee and signed by Gov. Abbott, those concealed carry permits will allow them to openly carry once the open carry bill becomes law. Might make some of those lunatics think twice about launching an attack in Texas.

Wow. I just had a huge argument with my hubby over this. He basically said Geller was provoking them and deserved this. I told him she was just saying as Americans and free people we should be able to express our opinions without worrying about being killed.
