For some mysterious reason, the Idiot's buddies and their progressive economic policies aren't doing very well at the present time!

Jugears, who whistles when wind blows over his head, wants to bring that kind of economic success here.

Various estimates suggest the government already controls about half of the country's food distribution, but that hasn't stopped record shortages in shops and markets.

Socialists always double down. When total power still doesn't address the shortages they'll blame somebody else and demand even more. It becomes a darkly amusing game to guess when, if ever, they will bottom out. Amusing from a distance, not so amusing if your children are starving.

“Various estimates suggest the government already controls about half of the country’s food distribution, but that hasn’t stopped record shortages in shops and markets.”

What a great line. Half ownership hasn’t stopped shortages, but 100% ownership will? The writer seems surprised that government control somehow doesn’t improve the situation. It must be those outside agitators.

I find it amazing how leftest always apply more leftest policy to “fix” the results of their previous application of leftest policy. The more they do the worse it gets - and they never make the connection as to what the cause is... Ideology trumps all... They repeatedly destroy millions of lives in the process...

I really don't understand.

Venezuela to nationalize food distribution

That's going to get King Obama all excited thinking about the possibilities.....

Gee. Maybe that’s WHY there are food shortages?

Who could have predicted that price controls would lead to shortages?

This is where you line up and wait four-eight hours to buy one roll of toilet paper - uh, wait....they don’t even have that.

Love the Venezuelan people....but that was one of the biggest hell-holes I've ever visited- and that BEFORE Chavez.

What a cesspool....and yet their people, especially the young educated ones are bright, articulate, and freedom loving.

The political class is the problem- all commies/socialists who keep all the power to themselves.

The women are some of the most beautiful on earth.

Controlling the distribution of electricity, fuel, natural gas, water, medical care, education and even where people can live. Sounds like a Obama/Democrat Party plan.

Controlling food, controlling when and how much people can eat, controlling who is allowed to be fed -- the ultimate Obama/Democrat Party power binge dream.
