Depending on whom you ask, “Jade Helm 15” is either a domestic military training exercise or a covert operation for the federal government to take over the state of Texas – and 2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz just became the latest Republican to fan the flames of the latter theory.
Speaking at the South Carolina Republican Party’s annual convention Saturday, the Texas senator told Bloomberg’s David Weigel that his office had contacted the Pentagon about the exercise, which officially consists of a series of training drills throughout the Southwest for about 1,200 special operations personnel, including Green Berets and Navy SEALs. Conspiracy theorists operating on the fringes of the conservative blogosphere, however, have other ideas about what the exercise, known as Jade Helm 15, is intended to do – such as implement martial law, seize Americans’ guns, and imprison political dissidents.
Rather than squash those theories outright, Cruz apparently decided it was better to be safe than sorry.
“My office has reached out to the Pentagon to inquire about this exercise,” he said. “We are assured it is a military training exercise. I have no reason to doubt those assurances, but I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don’t trust what it is saying.”(continued)

Scary but what is scarier is that good people are being pressured out by the liberal-fascist atmosphere. I always thought that obola's sanction of gays was not about gay rights; rather it is an effort to infiltrate and subvert a conservative institution, i.e., the military.
I respect your opinion. I don’t see myself as a progressive at all. I am more libertarian. I am not going to dredge this whole thing up.
I just ask a ton of questions when people get worked up over something, assuming a lot of things that just don’t fit.
There is plenty to be afraid of in this world, I simply do not think Jade Helm is one of them.

That is, reliable in the KGB or Stasi meaning of the world. Click your heels, Sheriff, and set up the roadblocks as instructed. It’s a federal order! Do it just like we did it last year.
Again, it’s Operation Jade Conditioning. Ditto for our generals being conditioned to take orders from civilian bureaucrats for military deployments directly into American cities and towns.

Enough people in Texas got ahold of their reps and the gov, so the gov did something about it.

Thanks Lucy, I had read Travis’ good post and think most of us would agree that this is a form of ‘conditioning’. My newspaper has already had several explanatory articles about Jade Helm exercises. “Calming the people in preparation”....snicker
Here’s my proposition. I think that a financial crash, alone or with other factors, will come to a head by the Fall. From the look at the last year, His Arrogance (a Bill Ayers student) will instigate race riots during the summer through any number of incidents and DOJ operations.
Note that the objective is to declare martial law, nationalize the National Guard and use the military to “restore order”. With Jade Helm 15, all the necessary military troops, equipment and supplies will be prepositioned under the guise of the scheduled ops. These troops will be positioned in the places where the most resistance is expected. The high population centers of the Mid Atlantic, New England, and the far West Coast will go down quicker than Slick Willie’s interns and march into the FEMA camps.
In all probability, either the financial meltdown or combined with a catastrophic real or false flag event will cause a total collapse.
Will they need to hold 1,200 or more families hostage ...no. But they can control whether they eat or not. 1,200 is miniscule when you consider that they can easily control food, water, electric, etc. or deny it.
With the elimination of any John Doe Muslim ties, the OKC bombers provided justification for the entire 'bitter clinger homegrown terrorist' meme, one which was used to mask Muslim terrorist activities (along with CIA generated cartoons of center fuel tank explosions) until 9/11.
The Clintons played that meme into the Assault Weapons ban and other regulations and programs which have only grown in scope if there was no statutory sunset date established. The SPLC, already with the ear of the administration, established itself as one of the experts on who is and isn't a terrorist in the US, and has maintained a strong influence on who Federal Agencies percieve as a threat.
Armed Christians who believe in Original (Constitutional) Intent and traditional values are on the list.
Considering that the action was the worst possible sort of event at the worst possible time for those of us who were pushing to have the Assault Weapons Ban repealed, and that the backlash against the Militia movmement was strong enough to either drive it underground or relegate any notice of Federal power grabs or overreach to the crap bucket of "conspiracy theory" in the media, the event there could have done little better for an administration power grab if it had been orchestrated by the administration itself.
Note, too, that the sense in the media was that this was a 'payback' for events at Mt. Carmel in Waco, and that the investigations of that massacre were soft-pedaled after the bombing.
For those who understand the PSYOP end of asymmetrical warfare, this was a decided victory--for the Clinton Administration.
For patriots, it could not have been a worse event at a worse time.

As I have stated elsewhere, look for the trifecta of indicators that Team Obama will make their play:
* A financial panic (not a collapse, merely a panic will do);
* Race riots spawned by another high-profie incident;
* Another mass-casualty event involving "assault" weapons;
Look for all three either all at once, or rapid-fire, which will generate the needed chaos for the so-called "coming future time".
The rehearsal for all this occurred in 2013, when all three of those events occured; the equivalent of priming the engine for when it's time to start.

Which of those Special Forces and SEALs spoke up for Lt. Col Terry Lakin when he bucked orders because he questioned whether they were lawful? Listen VERY CLOSELY to what a person said in response to Lakin, and you will know EXACTLY how that person will rationalize “just obeying orders” if they are called to “secure” the nation after a “Reichstag Fire” event. When orders CANNOT be questioned by the military structure, the CINC has unlimited power, and a Muslim CINC will find that systemic weakness provocative, just like Muslims ALWAYS do. Weakness is ALWAYS the signal to attack.
Isn’t that what he got at Waco?
