You hear these things? Fine. So do I. And we (White America) SEE them as well. But Julia, do you hear and see WHY these things are evident? Do you see that Obama, Holder, Sharpton, the media and popular culture has lead you down the garden path to hopelessness, oppression, pain, internalized oppression, despair, anger and poverty?
Do you see the black culture is the reason why you hear these things? With illegitimacy, ignorance and racial hatred as your core values? With liberal democrats keeping you enslaved with welfare and entitlements that are paid for by White America?
If I am indeed "perpetuating white privilege and white supremacy"; then it is because no other culture has or ever will create the standard by which we all have flourished and benefitted. Julia, get back with me when black thuggery and a hip-hop pants on the ground mentality begins to work. Then we in White America will start to take you seriously.

Why does she feel the need to identify with or care about criminals and ne’er do wells? I do not identify with or care one bit about the white criminal/ne’er do well class. There are too many successful black people in this country for this type of whining to have any validity.

I grew up in a rural county that was 97% white and has a consistent 20%+ poverty rate. I wasn't impoverished growing up and was lucky in that respect, but we lived on the edge like almost everyone else. There's not a lot money in North Michigan away from the resorts. I got my grades up, played sports (which kept me out of trouble) and got into school and while I'm not rich, I get by alright. That's due to hard work and discipline. We didn't shoot each other. We didn't kill each other. My former home county has 3 homicides in five years. Now why is that? Even with the black rural areas up north, it's the same thing. Two homicides in five years in that county (not sure if they were white or black). We have plenty of poverty, but since we are better than you, we don't screw over our neighborhoods.
This is a city problem. People in the city f'ed it up due to inferior city culture. Until that is fixed, the problem will still be there.

Then grow up and quit blaming other people for your problems. Quit being a victim. Finish school, get a job, work hard, and you’ll do fine. Submit yourself to the Lord and be His slave, but nobody elses. Especially avoid those who would keep you in the bondage of dependency for their own political purposes (they are called Democrats, in case you don’t know).
I have an acute case of black fatigue.
There is no black America. There is no homogenity of black people.
Rather, there are several separate black subcultures that the leaders pretend are one.
The dead man is of the urban black criminal class that is proudly free and ignorant, having shunned education and work. They have no morals at all. They pillage and burn. They have the right to be criminal and then resist arrest to the death with no retribution.
The writer is of the uppity black educated class that will not accept the reality of the criminal class and insists there is a moral high ground that accrues from simply being black. They are liberal and shun conventional American values and morals. They shun other black people that have such values.
The good solid black citizens that value hard work, grit and determination and might even espouse conservatism are ridiculed and despised.
