States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

Baltimore has paid out MILLIONS to people it PD has provided “rough rides” to. To think this guy wasn’t strapped down due to simple negligence would require the “willful suspension of disbelief”. Don’t believe me, feel free to google it yourself.
Secondly even if you were to suspend disbelief to the point of its just negligence, that’s still at least manslaughter.
Unless there is evidence that the suspect killed himself, which is an even bigger laughable assumption on its face... The PD and officers involved are culpable for his death.
How many knots are folks going to try to twist themselves into trying to avoid the reality that this thing stinks to high heaven? Already tried to latch onto the lie that the suspect had a broken neck prior to the arrest... LIE.... etc etc etc.
This absolutely should be going forward as a criminal case, the very least manslaughter. That trial will hopefully lead to finding out what actually happened, but to think cops can just “screw up” and a man being dead in their custody is not something worthy of consequences is idiotic.
I imagine she has information about what happened that we don’t.
None of these charges will stick.
Probable Cause = Fame and $$$$$$
Sharptons go female
Let’s have the trail with the defendants found innocent and they can finish burning down the town.
We need Spiro T. Agnew back in MD!
Did the liberals who run the city and police department know about the lack of seat belts in vans before now?
The vans have seat belts. They didn’t use seat belts.
Why was he put in the back of a police van? What crime did he commit?
I want to emphasize that she is not an affirmative action baby. No way. Purely on her own merit and genius, she graduated from Tuskeegee in 2002 and from nationally-renowned Michigan State-Detroit College of Law, where most of our Supreme Court Justices earned their Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees. She earned her JD in 2005 and then spent about half the time since them in low and mid-level jobs in the prosecutor’s office and the other half as an insurance fraud investigator for Liberty Mutual.
Overall, I would say she is one of the most qualified 35 year old prosecutors for a major American city since Clarence Darrow. /sarc
I also think your Point #7 is really relevant.
It appears that, in the midst of a growing national controversy... a city at risk... etc. etc., that the police intentionally failed to disclose one of the stops that was made or outright lied.
It sounds as though the only reason investigators learned of that stop was because a private citizen recorded it.
So many questions... why did they stop? What happened there? Why did the officers fail to report that when it occurred, and why did they not disclose it after the fact?
I'm a law-and-order man, but this just smells bad.
I'm just arm-chair quarterbacking now... but aren't we all? Not publicly releasing information, after promising that they would, is a mistake.
white guys get killed by black cops all the time how come we don’t hear about it?
And BTW no matter what happened it does not excuse the rioting filth who need to be locked up for a long time. But will they be?
NOPE.
Funny how the law and order crowd now doesn’t like how the system works.
What happened to the other criminal that said that Freddie Gray was banging his head in the police van? Was it dissmised or what?
Impressed, what on earth are you on about?
Her the Mayor, black leaders , and anarchists as well as the usual cop hating dimwits have all ready convicted the cops here.
Why not an independent investigation instead of this witch hunt?
Impressed, good grief.
I've been watching this on Fox, and Hannity, while a he's a bag of hammers on a good day, made a complete jackass of himself yesterday.
I'm a conservative, but I don't truck with the idiots who advocate conservative positions without regard to reality.
After the cops got done chasing him down, they searched and found a 'switchblade' knife on him. He was charged with possessing such a knife, which is illegal in Baltimore.
