States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

Rush said that the Rev Al was there leading the mayor around by the nose telling her everything to say. Using the “justice or no peace” which he said the race pimps use all the time in these riot events.
You don't see a problem when police don't include the reason for their stopping someone in their official arrest report?
Shades of Trayvon.

Have you seen the arrest report?
Maybe, or maybe not. The arrest would depend on you committing the crime - such as failing to secure a passenger, and then causing a crash. However what if there was no crash? What if the passenger was injured before you put him in? Nobody can claim with certainty that you will be arrested and indicted. You will be arrested only if there is at least some evidence against you. People die in taxicabs, on airplanes, trains, buses. Nobody is automatically arresting the operator or the crew.
This case is murky, and little is known, besides the fact that Mr. Grey lived a dangerous life. Reportedly he was on drugs at the time of arrest. The best one can do is to appoint an independent prosecutor. Otherwise many LEOs may be leaving the department while they can. Nobody wants to deal with filth of the society *and* to be spit upon by the very people you are protecting.
If it wasn’t a switchblade knife, what was it? She neglected to say what exactly Freddy had knifewise. The devil is in the details. Six, I just don’t buy it.
What happened to the spinal/neck surgery that was reported all day Wednesday?
She has a conflict of interest with the family’s attorney. In a normal state, that would call for a recusal.
If, as the police officer stated today, there had been a drug deal observed, I don’t know why it was not in the arrest report. The officer said there was a lot of information that had not been disclosed to the public. I think the officer must have believed that the knife was sufficient for arrest. The prosecutor said it did not violate Maryland law, but she failed to state that it does violate Baltimore law.
CBS termed it “depraved heart murder” as in failure to get EMS. The driver had a depraved heart CBS stated. Just repeating. I’m still wondering what happened w/the recent spinal surgery? Was that made up by somebody?
There is zero evidence of any surgery. This was debunked within an hour and a half right here in Free Republic.

Tropicana Field, St. Pete, Fl: Orioles Home Field and Rays are the Visitors tonight. There are protestors in St. Pete, more than likely the Uhurus who rioted in the late nineties are hanging around Tropicana Field. Find Tampa Bay tv station for videos. My friends are thinking about after the game while they are at the game.
I was told on a FR thread that the story was a now-discredited hoax, born of some blogger.
You did see the /sarc tag, didn’t you?
Knife was legal but false arrest is not second degree murder. I’m neutral cuz this happens every month.
I think you forgot the /sarc tag or you missed mine
