States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

I’d lay money on it.
Not sure it will help to even have the trial moved, though of course it should be moved and probably will be once the cops commission their attorneys.
Gosh, you're right. Maybe we should abandon elections for all government positions and go to a system of GPAs and college rankings. The number one guy at Harvard will be President.
I don’t think it was a credible source, but we probably haven’t heard the last on this.
It would appear that they are attempting to finish the hard coup of the USA to complete the soft Coup that started with the coronation of Obastard. These “show” trials will begin take place in 10 months and will end late in late September.
Donning tin foil hat now:
will the “unrest” be enough to swing the election, or will they need to enact martial law in places to quell the disturbances ans suspend the election?
Removing tin foil hat.
I'm not holding court here on FR. I am giving my opinion, which is that I agree that there is probable cause to support the charges against the officer (and that whether there is sufficient evidence to sustain a conviction will depend on what other evidence comes to light). My opinion is based on the facts of the case, as they have been reported (including by the DA in this morning's press conference).
I gave my opinion, just like you have given your opinion that the charges are meritless, based solely on the race of the DA/mayor/city of Baltimore.
I've seen at least one person here try to make a case that lead paint exposure leads to more easily broken necks.
No, actually prosecutors take an oath to uphold the law and seek justice, but obviously political hacks like Mosby dont abide by their oath.
Last night a bail bondsman in Baltimore said he bailed Freddie out 3 times. Perhaps Freddie was going for the full monty and trying to hurt himself so he could get a nice juicy lawsuit and payout from the big bad police? Notice how his arrest was recorded from the get-go..
How do you know whether there has been a "proper invesstigation"?
>> Law and order crowd, today: The DA is an angry black bitch, and the investigation was OBVIOUSLY biased against the officers from the start.
What if the law and order crowd is right?
What if the DA really *is* an incompetent racist black bitch? Just like the mayor?
What if the (mostly white) officers really *were* just doing their level best under difficult conditions, and they’re being offered up as a racial sacrifice to appease the black racist domestic terrorists in Baltimore and other urban wild zones?
Is that really so farfetched and unsupportable a conclusion that what you term the “law and order” crowd has arrived at? Knowing all that we know about black racism in America today?
Eventually we're going to wind up with Latin American style policing. When Brazilian or Columbian cops throw petty criminals in the back of vans, they don't show up at hospitals critically injured. They vanish off the face of the earth.
There's so much news that needs reporting and we're going to waste the next months, (years?), on this mess (and other orchestrated messes). Then when the jury finally doesn't convict, there will be more riots and calls for national police force, bla, bla. Obama skates by until he's thrown out in January, 2017. Seems like a long way off today. .
This is so over charged and premature that its amateurish of Mosby and her office.
Do you have a shred of evidence to support this theory, or is it wholly based on "all that we know about black racism in America today"?
Thats a good comparison.
Do you have a shred of opposing evidence?
Half of these charges should be tossed by the probable cause hearing.
By far, the biggest most costly, deadliest riot in modern American history occurred in the 1990s.
I had a business in downtown LA at the time. It was only 2 years after the Northridge earthquake. What a decade. I barely escaped the riots the entire shopping center upstairs was looted then burned to the ground. the looters acted like it was a huge party, they brought the whole family. Anarchy is never very far away sadly, if we lose the police uhoh!!!!
