States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

Baltimore prosecutor: Probable cause to file criminal charges in Grays death
Sure -- the cops were white. That's "probable cause" to these folks.

I look forward to seeing the murder charges against the VA employees who let Veterans die while in their care.

Must have driven Morgan Freemen nuts narrating “Through the Wormhole” season premier about bias and discrimination.
It said that conservative brains are much more logical. Also testing showed that white and black cops were just as quick to fire on a black suspect.

I heard it on TV but I can not find the source on the warrants, so I may be wrong on that . He had 18 arrests. He was to stand trial on possession this week! It is reported that the police report says the knife was “spring loaded” and one hand action knife. Is that not a “switch blade” illegal under most state laws?
If an officer yells “halt” and you run ,is that not evading capture and probable cause for pursuit?
In my opinion, this is a travesty to charge these officers.
But if it is a fact that he had spinal surgery 10 days earlier on top of “several” surgeries on his spine, this thing is over. It will never go to trial.

>> ultimately, the case will be decided not by the prosecutor, but by the judge/jury, on the evidence.
Except in the court you are holding here on FR, right? Because you have already decided that the police are guilty, based on hearsay you have hand-picked from the available accounts.

I’m no lawyer, and I don’t play one on the intertubes, but this sounds as if the Prosecutor has massively over-charged.
Her own bias, racism, and conflicts of interest are very obvious.
When this gets moved out of Baltimore, an “impartial” jury is likely going to not convict most of them, which will set off the biggest riots nationwide we have seen in Decades.
And that should be late next summer, JUST BEFORE THE 2016ELECTIONS.

Yes he was a felon. A felon out on parole, no less, with several court cases against him pending. He may have been out on bond pending those upcoming court cases, as well.

Sadly I’m old enough to remember (barely)all of the 60’s LOL

There was one thread that told about the alleged culprit throwing himself around in the ambulance.
Did he injure himself?

A lot of places are backtracking on that statement. Apparently someone doctored a settlement over lead based paint exposure to a 'freddy Gray' (not even sure if it is the same one or just same name) to turn it into a car accident. I haven't been able to come up with any actual proof that he had the surgery, just a lot of facebook, social media stuff saying it to be true.

A switch blade is a knife that has a switch pressed to extend the blade. I would think any knife that is spring-loaded would fall under that classification.

By that, one can assume, with a degree or surety, that they are not White.

By far, the biggest most costly, deadliest riot in modern American history occurred in the 1990s.

This person is low life scumbag. She has made the decision to politicize this and ruin the lives of 6 officers without doing proper investigation. At the end of all this I expect the 6 officers to beat all charges and sue for damages.
It is in fact this vile POS that should be brought up on charges.
