Despite a firm denial by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a senior law enforcement source charges that she gave an order for police to stand down as riots broke out Monday night, raising more questions about whether some of the violence and looting could have been prevented.
The source, who is involved in the enforcement efforts, confirmed to Fox News there was a direct order from the mayor to her police chief Monday night, effectively tying the hands of officers as they were pelted with rocks and bottles.
Asked directly if the mayor was the one who gave that order, the source said: "You are God damn right it was."
The claim follows criticism of the mayor for, over the weekend, saying they were giving space to those who "wished to destroy."

Hum, curious if she came up with that galactically stupid idea all on her own if someone in a white house in Washington DC called her and advised her to do that....you know, to keep the voters, ahem, I mean “rioters,” ahem, I mean “protesters” all riled up. Nothing like a misinformed low educated low information voter getting all we we’d up over a convicted criminal’s death.

Residents need to demand the mayor step down. Despite all other factors, such as color, she explicitly said she wanted to give rioters room to destroy the community, she waited into the evening before asking the governor for national guard, and now we hear she told the police to stand down. She is in cahoots with rioters. What will it take before members of the community say enough?

Obama’s politics, intellect, and ideology really should have made him mayor of a city like Baltimore. I see a lot of him in Rawlings-Blake.
