The One Word That Will Win Ted Cruz the Nomination

In last November’s election, the Republicans campaigned on just one issue. Extreme opposition to Barack Obama and his big government, liberty stealing agenda. They said “If you put us in power, we will stop him. There will be no amnesty and no Obamacare.”

Many conservatives, myself included, actually got suckered into believing that, and worked tirelessly to give Republicans a majority in both the House and the Senate. And what did we get? Fully funded Obamacare and amnesty. CRomnibus getting passed because of the yes vote of a guy who ran as a staunch fiscal conservative. And an ongoing contest between Boehner and McConnell to see who can be first in line to lower their trousers for Obama.

I had previously subscribed to the “vote conservative in the primary, and Republican in the general” theory, then they openly screw us in the Mississippi Senate race and made me look like a sap for preaching that.

And Jeb Bush, the biggest toady for the elite and the establishment in politics today, is favored to be our presidential nominee. Sure, he may represent his crony capitalist pals really well, but he does NOT represent anything that I as a rank and file conservative believe in. Not a darned thing!

I remember when I first heard that money was being diverted from Republican coffers to a PAC that had ties to several prominent Republican politicians. I wondered who they were planning to go after? I guessed that it must be Obama, or maybe even a preemptive strike against Hillary Clinton. Then I found out that their nationwide media blitz only targeted conservative politicians who tried to defund Obama’s amnesty plan. That’s so sad.

And then a perfectly reasonable pro-life bill gets sabotaged in the House. I figured this had be the work of  a liberal Democrat from California or Massachusetts looking to build a “Wendy Davis” type of reputation for themselves.

But it was actually done by a Congresswoman named Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)Heritage ActionScorecard

(R-NC)…who was elected with…and no I am not making this up…the support of the National Right To Life PAC.  Benedict Arnold has a new name, and it’s Renee Ellmers.

So the Republicans can somehow manage to organize and fund a national campaign to attack conservatives, but a bill to protect the life of unborn children can’t even make it to the floor?

The GOP Judenrats really earned their thirty pieces of silver this session.

And after months of reading the posts and comments on both RedState and my Facebook Tea Party site, I can tell you that conservatives are hurt, confused, and most of all, absolutely furious!! I have never seen anything even remotely close to the complete disdain and disgust that the conservative base now has for the Republican Party. We are grabbing our pitchforks and torches and getting ready to storm the GOP establishment castle. I guess betrayal after betrayal after betrayal will do that to a person.

And in a political climate where treachery against conservatives is the norm, we are being asked to choose the man or woman that we want to represent us as our president. As conservatives, we can no longer afford to worry about the endorsements, experience, or educational background of a candidate.

Nor can we go by any of the other factors that we previously considered when deciding who to cast our vote for. There is now only one thing that we should look for in a candidate. Only one thing that we can care about. It’s such a simple word, yet this one word will end up deciding who wins the nomination. That one word, is TRUST!!

Because we learned the hard way that without trust, all the other qualifications of a candidate really don’t matter.

Who can we trust to govern as a constitutional conservative AFTER we put him in office? When the left wing media stirs up all kinds of political pressure, who can we trust to ignore it and stand by our loyal ally Israel against the cancer called Islam? Who can we trust not to sell out when the Chamber of Commerce offers up a boatload of money if he’ll “see the light” on illegal immigration?

We can trust the only candidate, that has actually earned our trust. That man is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)Heritage ActionScorecardSen. Ted Cruz95%Senate Republican Average29See Full Scorecard95%.

Ted Cruz has paid a tremendous price for his unwavering defense of conservative values. He had his fundraising blocked by Republican leadership after he followed through on his promise to filibuster the Affordable Care Act.

Cruz was the only Republican of note to come out strongly against the voter fraud that cheated conservative Chris McDaniel out of the Mississippi Senate seat, a move that probably cost him his spot on the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

At the Iowa Agriculture Summit, Cruz came out against the Renewable Fuels Standard as corporate welfare, even thought he knew that his principled position would hurt him in the first primary state. And on the same day that a PPP poll is being released showing that it’s now a three man race between himself, Jeb Bush, and Scott Walker for the presidential nomination,  Ted still chose to walk into a firestorm in order to vigorously defend Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Senator Cruz has been there for us conservatives every single step of the way, so let’s volunteer, donate, and do everything we can, to also be there for him.

Does the author ever get around to the ‘one word?’

I'm sick of reading long articles that list all the ways liberals and RINOs suck. Everyone already knows all that BS!
