Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake made a stunning admission Saturday in the aftermath of violent protests over the recent death of Freddie Gray, saying she wanted to give space to those “who wished to destroy.”
And destroy, some did.
Numerous storefronts and vehicles were damaged and businesses were looted at the tail end of a day of demonstrations. Thirty-four people were arrested and six police officers suffered minor injuries. Baseball fans attending a game at Camden Yards were told to stay inside the ballpark until violence outside of the stadium subsided.
“I’ve made it very clear that I work with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their right to free speech,” Rawlings-Blake said during a press conference Saturday night.
“It’s a very delicate balancing act, because while we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well.”

“And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to deescalate, and that’s what you saw.”
Protesters are upset because of the circumstance surrounding Gray’s death last Sunday. He was arrested on April 12, following a foot chase with police. At some point, he suffered a severe spin injury and died. Baltimore’s police commissioner admitted Friday police failed to provide Gray with medical care in a timely manner.
An email request for comment sent to two spokesmen for the Baltimore mayor’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
When the feelings or well-being of animals like these rioters and looters are given priority over the well being of a random citizen BY THE AUTHORITIES, here is what happens to those random citizens:
They aren’t protected.
Their families aren’t protected.
Their property isn’t protected.
Their business isn’t protected.
So, they do what any INTELLIGENT, THOUGHTFUL, RESPONSIBLE person does: They uproot their family and business, and LEAVE. (Because we all see what happens to those who stand up to the animals: If they survive being beaten to a pulp by a mob, they are demonized as racists)
And what happens after that?
We hear whining and moaning that people in those ravaged communities can’t get access to basic services, can’t get stores to buy food at, can’t get a cab to take them home because it is too dangerous for the cabbies. And they decry the people who left to survive as “racists” and characterize their leaving as racially based “white flight”.
And they demonize industry and commerce as racist because they don’t want to build factories or open stores in those areas, because the extra security costs add up to 30% to the overhead of business, an addition fatal to business survivability.
And they demonize banks as racist who won’t give business loans to someone who wants to open something in those areas, because they won’t make it past the first riot.
And they characterize as racist the unwillingness of insurance companies to offer low rates to businesses in those areas, because it is a guaranteed 100% loser for them.
THAT is what infuriates me about the animals doing this in places like Ferguson and Baltimore. They are doing all they can to drive people out of those areas so that much of the liberal black leadership can point to racist “white flight” as one of the roots of their failure to have a functioning community.
It should be very clear to liberal voters that you are on your own should trouble start. I noticed they didnt trash her house or property. Open season on white folks. How long will white folks take it?
Yep. That sure does look like a random collection of “out-of-town agitators” who were bussed in to cause trouble.
It is insane. That mayor is going to cause the death of innocent citizens, mark my words.
Baltimore....someone really should burn it down....

If you normalize the statistics to take into account the relative sizes of the populations, Here are the numbers that reflect the real magnitude of Black-on-White versus White-on-Black VIOLENT ASSAULT crime:
Furthermore, if you narrow the statistics shown above on violent assault (GENERAL VIOLENT ASSAULT) to a specific type of violent assault (IN THE CASE BELOW, VIOLENT AGGRAVATED ASSAULT) , the statistics that Black-on-White versus White-on-Black VIOLENT ASSAULT crime take on an entirely different magnitude:
When one looks at these statistics, one can only reach the same conclusion that Bill Whittle did in his video:
"Oh, there's an epidemic of racial violence in America, all right."
Bill Whittle further accurately states:
"Critics will say that I am using these statistics to justify the murder of Michael Brown. But I said at the beginning – if Michael Brown were shot in cold blood then the police officer needs to pay the price for murder. This has nothing to do with Michael Brown. This has EVERYTHING to do with the narrative that the President, the Attorney General, and all of these race hustlers are trying to create using Michael Brown.
There is, in fact, a racial war of violence and hatred in America. Open racism is simply not tolerated in white America today, but black racism is the toxic glue that holds the progressive coalition together. Then the mayor is responsible. So the city government of Baltimore is attacking law abiding citizens that visit or work in the city. Great job.
I’m sorry, but I’m afraid we are going to have to file a lawsuit over this. No mob can be more than 10% Americans of African Descent.
Consistent with the progressive God-head Obama and his "you didn't build that" comments and philosophy, and after all, these savages were destroying something privileged "others" had built, so what does it matter to them ...

And to be clear, what I wrote in that post isn’t confined to “white” people or any non-black people.
It applies to ALL people, regardless of color. If a black person’s life and property aren’t protected by the local/state/federal government, they will get steamrolled by these animals the same way by the same people in a grim exercise in equal opportunity.

She had no legal right to do that, whatsoever. She should be held personally liable for all the destruction that was done in this riot. (as well as the city)
As conservatives, nearly all of us believe there should be government (we aren’t anarchists) and that government should have its duties specified at the local/state/federal levels.
One of the basic things good government does is protect its citizens from harm, economic or physical through theft or assault.
One of the very few things that we believe government should have a strong hand in, is repudiated by this incredible mental midget who is the mayor of Baltimore.

I ran into this mentality in Minnestoopid. Destruction of property is considered to be a protected act of exercising political free expression - as long as the person exercising that privilege is a Democrat or a member of a group favored by the Democrats (reference my tagline please). Those are areas where I consider to be lawless.
Minneapolis got on that list of lawless areas when then mayor RT Rybak spoke in support of the RNC 8. The RNC 8 were not only the ringleaders of the violence in St. Paul, they also conspired to set off incendiary devices meant to maim or kill police officers. I was quite surprised to see then Ramsey County Sheriff Fletcher investigate and push prosecution of those punks. Minneapolis however fell off the map.
Baltimore is the latest lawless city, where the mayor implicitly approved of the rioting.
