Protests over the death of Freddie Gray, who died in police custody, took a violent turn on Saturday, resulting in dozens of arrests and widespread property damage. During a recent press conference, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake confirmed that the protesters were being given “space” to “destroy.”

“While we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on,” the mayor said of the protesters. “We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we work very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to deescalate, and that’s what you saw.”

Yep, it was worse. And the entire event was sponsored in part by the Nation of Islam, who helped provide the security. And this is the organization Americans trust to protect us from terrorist attacks ? Pleased to meet you, hope you guess their name...What’s puzzling you, is the nature of their game.

By the way, security was recommended and arranged by Grateful Deadheads and Jefferson Airplane crews. Payment was beer. At least the HA’s stopped the violent crazies in that incident.

I think the Baltimoristan Mayor has topped that spectacle.

So part of Baltimore became a “no go zone” for whitey.

Apart-hate never has a happy ending.

The insurers of the businesses and autos that were damaged or destroyed should sue the hell out of the Mayor and the City of Baltimore to recover the money they had to shell out!

The Mayor admitted that they allowed the demonstrators to destroy the properties.

In the mid-1980s, I attended an International conference regarding my profession. It was at the convention center in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. There were probably about 15-25 thousand attendees.

On the first morning, the Mayor welcomed us and then gave us warnings: Don’t walk the streets beyond about two blocks from the Inner Harbor; Always walk in groups; Don’t walk the streets after dark.

One day, a group of four of us walked during the lunch recess and ventured a couple of blocks away. Scary. In our suits and ties, we felt like bait fish being eyed by sharks.

After that, all my evenings and meals were in the hotel! I did skip a couple of afternoon sessions and walked to the National Aquarium, which should be a MUST SEE for anyone going to Baltimore.

It appears that the Mayor has clearly violated the Fifth Constitution.

There are a lot of “must sees” at the Inner Harbor: beside the Aquarium the USS Constitution; and the low-price great view (and history) from the top floor of the trade tower.

The B & O railroad museum is also great but DO NOT WALK there!
