Ted Cruz Is Guest of Two Gay Businessmen
New York Times ^ | APRIL 23, 2015 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Posted on 04/24/2015 1:18:24 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Senator Ted Cruz has positioned himself as a strong opponent of same-sex marriage, urging pastors nationwide to preach in support of marriage as an institution between a man and a woman, which he said was “ordained by God.”

But on Monday night, at a reception for him at the Manhattan apartment of two prominent gay hoteliers, the Texas senator and Republican presidential hopeful struck quite a different tone.

During the gathering, according to two people present, Mr. Cruz said he would not love his daughters any differently if one of them was gay. He did not mention his opposition to same-sex marriage, saying only that marriage is an issue that should be left to the states.

The dinner and “fireside chat” for about a dozen people with Mr. Cruz and his wife, Heidi, was at the Central Park South penthouse of Mati Weiderpass and Ian Reisner, longtime business partners who were once a couple and who have been pioneers in the gay hospitality industry.

To tell you the honest unvarnished truth, I am sick of sodomites and everything to with them and everything about them. They are a group identified and self-identified by their disgusting private sex lives and I’m just sick of the idea of it. People seem to have some blank spot in their minds regarding just what this group is defined by, they seem to choose to put it out of their minds or have selective amnesia, helped along by all the little code words which gloss it over-gay, queer, etc. If you take a moment to get back to basics, it’s insane that this group is any kind of a “victim” or “interest” group.

That’s expected..and if he’s the primary nominee, they’ll be staying home. I’ve read several comments today regarding Rubio saying they’ll vote for Hillary instead if he’s the nominee........Just doesn’t make sense to me.

It doesn’t make sense to me, either, until I think of what

I’ve done in some Presidential elections of the past.

For instance, I knew a liberal Tree Hugger type who had her

Al Gore bumper stickers, was enthusiastic and was really

pushing for Algore in 2000. She hated Bush with a passion.

I called her and told her I was voting for Ralph Nader and

went through a whole list of reasons why. I used points to

push Nader that I know she would fall for and it worked.

She voted for Nader. After the election she caught on to

what I had done and never talked to me again.

I think there are some here who are trying the same tactics.

I think Cruz is taking a sensible and very pragmatic position!

Thank you. Conservatives are also on the slippery slope regarding this issue now, we're just still behind the left.

I’m not writing off Cruz, but I’m also not shrugging my shoulders mentally at sodomites and their agenda. That’s what got us here, on this and so many other issues.

Pragmatic? We could have taken a “pragmatic” stance on slavery and avoided the Civil War, but some things are just immoral and you have to stand up and be counted regarding them.

And I have no doubt that as a committed Christian, Senator Ted Cruz used this opportunity (as did Christ) to tell them of repentance. Even the most vile of sodomites can be reliably and permanently cured with God-centered reparative therapy. The first step is to come clean and admit the sin and pray for forgiveness. Senator Cruz does not advocate a "big tent" nor did he (nor will he) budge an inch on the issue of sodomy. Cruz's meeting with the sodomites was no different than Christ's meeting with prostitutes.

What’s wrong with gay people? Nothing more than there is wrong with hetero people that feel that any of their bizarre personal associations are everybody’s business.

(for example -—and typical for him-—, from facebook, by a gay “friend” who seems “decent” but doesn’t understand why he has so many personal issues...that he is compelled to share...)

It seems like my personal life for this year so far could be a storyline on “The Young and the Restless.” Yesterday afternoon my ex finally moved and is no longer my neighbor. Although he had to be booted out by the managers and owners with the guidance of the police and the sheriff’s department. His mother also moved out on her own volition. The only reason why he finally got kicked out was he and his new supposed girlfriend were verbally fighting loudly. Also she was not given permission by the managers to move in over there.
This brings up an interesting point. I have pretty accurate gaydar. So yes closetvcases out there I do know the real you. LOL!!! But I was fooled by my ex. He pretended to be bisexual and in a gay relationship with me only to use me. However I dodged a bullet. Since he is a paranoid schizophrenic. In addition he has been to prison. So he knew how to fake a gay relationship. After all he had to be in gay relationships in prison for survival.
Well my ex’s new girlfriend is transgendered. Personally I don’t think he is in a real relationship with her. Since they have never acted lovey dovey. Despite these two just getting together a few weeks ago. This gal is a former male transitioning to a female. Once again my ex is actually straight. But he will conform to anyone in any situation to use that person. At least he is out of my life and no longer my neighbor.
I seriously could not make up all these events people!!! My life has truly been way out there the last four months. In the end this has all been an amazing learning experience for me. There are positive outcomes from the negative incidents.

And I so very much appreciate your response. Take it from one who was in a gay marriage for some 40 years until my lovely wife died. We met at a Christian college and always resented that the sodomites corrupted the meaning of the word "gay", spoiling the original definition and turning it into the worst form of vileness. As for me, I have and always will stick with its rightful meaning and refuse to bend to the homosexual agenda's evil destruction of the language.

What’s wrong with gay people?

Well Leviticus 20:13 makes it quite clear to me. The operative word is abomination.

I know that people around me do a lot of immoral things, but I still take a realistic and pragmatic view of things and still interact with them and do business with them and treat everyone as a real person.

Of course if they start getting down on me, then I’m going to fling it back ... :-) ...

There are a lot of unsaved people in the world, probably around 80%, but we all still interact and associate with them.

You can still say what the Bible says about all the sins that are out there, and still associate with people, and be civil.

Sure, I have a number of people around me who could use the Gospel and they have heard it from me, but they have rejected it all the same (of course, in a nice way to me). And so, after a while, you can only say it so many times when someone tells you it would be better to simply disagree and leave it at that.

There are a whole lot of people like that ... and so, in the end, you’re left with the same person you started with, when you started with the Gospel.

Now, that’s not a reason for not telling them, but it’s just to say that with the larger majority of them, you’re going to have the same person you started with.

There are a few success stories with gays, but for the most part, if you start with a gay person, and tell them the Gospel, you’re going to end up with the same person, afterwards. The real question is what do you do afterwards? Do you disown them and have nothing to do with them? I say no, but you still treat them as a person.

As individuals, yes, treat people with civility. But that’s one of the many places where the left goes wrong-you cannot extrapolate the civility, compassion, whatever, that you exercise towards individuals, into social policy to run a whole nation. The left does it just the opposite-they treat human beings, as individuals, with contempt, while legislating “compassion”, on the backs of society-and if they can, at someone else’s expense, financially and socially. Sodomites are sick and sad people, statistically, and sick behavior needs to be helped to change, not made allowance for at the expense of a civilised and moral society.

The number of conversions from sodomy to normalcy is actually quite large because it's a choice not a genetic predisposition. With Christ, all things are indeed possible. For those who are recalcitrant in their choice of homosexuality, efforts must be doubled, trebled, quadrupled and so on until they accept God's plan. For those that continue to resist, my opinion is that, yes, one should indeed walk away and have nothing to do with them. If they're that steadfastly wicked in their embrace of that deviant abomination, they are evil companions and must be shunned.
