A group of women soldiers made history this week after earning a place in the first gender-integrated Ranger Course Assessment at Fort Benning in Georgia.

The U.S. Army Ranger School at Fort Benning opened Monday to a class of 19 women and 380 men, according to Stars and Stripes. Over the last four months, 20 women had secured a spot in the course assessment after passing one of four sessions of gender-integrated Ranger Training Assessment Courses (RTAC). One female soldier chose to withdraw.

Only eight women and 184 men successfully completed the first four days of Ranger School, after a series of physically grueling tests, officials told the Army Times on Thursday.

Sixteen women passed the initial fitness tests on Monday, in which soldiers must complete at least 49 pushups, 59 sit ups, six chin-ups and a timed five-mile run.

The tool boxes are lighter now or on wheels. The women still can’t handle an engine cowl door. I won’t trust one to hold a cowl up while I pinned it. A guaranteed trip to the ER for sure.

There should be no waivers for pregnancy or having children.

There’s not anymore..

When I was pregnant with my son in 1974, I had to apply to stay in and sign documents to say I would still do overseas assignments without family etc

It was the very start of a case by case thing and I only got to stay in bwcause of my job and my conduct etc and because my husband was also in the USAF and there were documents for him too..

In 1979 when I was pregnant with my youngest, a woman had to apply to get out and give a better reason than “I am pregnant”..By that time also the USAF had a “Pregnancy uniform” LOL..

I used to know women who flew cargo planes during WWII so the guys would be free to fly combat in B-17s and jets etc..

Used to as they were old when I knew them..

Why don’t these liberals celebrate the lives and service of these women who loved and honored our country instead of these “modern” females who just want to puff their egos..

These modern females remind me of an 18 yo they made the leader of our flight in basic..(one flight of 50 to a barrack)

She was the tallest so they said she was the leader..but she was also the youngest and some of us were 4-5 years older than she was..and she was a silly ditz..

well the position went to her head and she started ordering the rest of us around ..the night she came and demanded that I wash out her shirt for the next day (we had to pay for the washers and dryers) I asked her for the money to pay for the machines..her groupies just about fainted but I held my own and didn’t accept that I should be honored..some other slave of hers did the job..

BTW she was also the one they would help push through the window right after lights out so she could go be with her Moslem/Iranian pilot boyfriend she had first met on that base..Oh dear that was a big fat gig for her to do that wasn’t it?

Yes females in these positions do seem to think they are special and can do anything they want and I don’t think Id want to be one of the guys who are subordinate to one of these ones..
