A group of women soldiers made history this week after earning a place in the first gender-integrated Ranger Course Assessment at Fort Benning in Georgia.
The U.S. Army Ranger School at Fort Benning opened Monday to a class of 19 women and 380 men, according to Stars and Stripes. Over the last four months, 20 women had secured a spot in the course assessment after passing one of four sessions of gender-integrated Ranger Training Assessment Courses (RTAC). One female soldier chose to withdraw.
Only eight women and 184 men successfully completed the first four days of Ranger School, after a series of physically grueling tests, officials told the Army Times on Thursday.
Sixteen women passed the initial fitness tests on Monday, in which soldiers must complete at least 49 pushups, 59 sit ups, six chin-ups and a timed five-mile run.

Correction, 8 women are left, 11 dropped.
Last class none of the women graduated.
This is a complete fraud. Details here: http://weaponsman.com/?p=22009
All female military = “historic”
Yes and no. I understand what you are saying, but If you enlist for the Regiment, you have an enlistment obligation to to complete both the Basic Airborne Course prior to arrival at your assigned Ranger unit and successfully complete the Ranger Course at some point during your initial enlistment. The Ranger Course, in that regard, is designed to weed out Rangers who aren't up to the task of what being in the Regiment entails. Yes, the three battalions in the Regiment train to a higher standard and OPTEMPO than other infantry units as part of SOCOM, but the Ranger Course is their training foundation and gatekeeper. Virtually all of the Doctrinal Principles and TTPs and taught in the Ranger Course are embedded in the way the Ranger Regiment trains and fights.
So how long is the course? More than 4 days, I’d bet.
Already done.
Chief of Staff of the South African Air Force, Gen Kriel, visited Sec AF Widnall in the Pentagon.
The walls of her outer office were lined with 3’x 4’ photos of Shelia standing next to all-female crew from this and that jet.
She walked Gen Kriel around the office as she proudly showed off the photos and practically squealed with delight as she described each flight she was one that was crewed by females only.
Gen Kriel, you could tell by the look on his face, was not impressed. Gen Kriel flew Buccaneers in the Anglo War.
Have I been lied to by the left all these years?
I can do that at age 70. What's so tough about that? But I'm probably too elderly and without enough stamina to make it through the rest of the training nowadays.
Nevertheless, Ranger School should be a standard for a 25 year old man in top physical condition who will need to go up against enemies in as good or better condition - not a 70 year old or a bunch of women who want to play soldier along with the guys in order to get promoted.
We'll see if the Army maintains genuine standards. I seriously doubt they will. Like everybody else in today's pussyfied culture, they'll chicken out at the first threat of a sexual harassment or discrimination lawsuit.
That’s what I’m saying and the list is just a short one of a search of female “history”...
Everytime a female or all female group does something, somehow, it’s one for the history books.
At this rate, history books will be nothing but females and people of color...and some irrelevant “achievement”.
Interesting anecdote, much appreciated.
Angola. . .
Thanks.
I was there and saw it for myself.
Did you barf?
Doesn't bode well for the remainder.
My brother was a Ranger back in the 70’s and 80’s? I’m more of a technical guy, and became FC Aegis in the Navy. The PT standards stated in the article are easy for someone 20 to 30 years old, unless you’re a fat worthless POS. I wonder if they are true. That’s right, I said fat lazy POS.
As a Surface Navy guy, I’m surprised that it’s that easy to pass Army Ranger PT requirements... I mean really!
Are we not concerned about having the greatest fighting force on the face of the earth anymore? We are now only concerned with disturbed individuals feeling better about themselves in make believe.
All, so certain disturbed people can have a false, better feeling about themselves. This is really the problem. People are afraid to accept who they are. They all want to be a superhero. The fact of the matter is very, very few...are.
In the past 25 or so years, the BS has been piled so high it’s unbelievable.
These women, whoever are selected, will be piled high in combat.
Mark my words... Piled high. Raped, abused and piled high.
It will happen. Who is going to except responsibility for this? And it’s not just this, Our Country is more important than what hangs between your Legs.
I’m not anti-women at all. I’m pro human!
snicker...
“While women who complete the Ranger Course assessment can wear the distinguished Ranger tab, they would not yet be allowed to serve in the Ranger Regiment which still does not allow women.”
Why are they WASTING money? The men need the training!!!!
There won’t be true equality in this country until all females between the ages of 18 to 55 are forced to register with the Selective Service.
There should be no waivers for pregnancy or having children.
You asked for it, you got it. Death.
Yet...but that's coming.
