Sub-Heading-- "The Texas senator wants to establish a constitutional amendment that protects states that define marriage as being between a man and a woman from legal action. "
He knew his vote was meaningless. Especially after they got the 60 votes to end discussion.
There are trolls who come out of the woodwork all of the sudden, swinging away at Cruz on this or that issue.
I’d say so far they are making it obvious. To the manager of the troll factory—you’re going to have to replace most of these folks with new trolls because they’ve blown their cover.
Thanks, but concern troll is stoned or drunk, your post won't get through his "concern".
It appears that this amendment would allow states that wish to do so to declare that two men or two women can be married to each other (i.e., that such a thing is possible).
Do you believe the Federal Constitution should be amended so as to recognize the right of states to do this?
We agree in regards to our daughters. That’s why I said I wasn’t sure if that aspect could be controversial. I can’t imagine not loving my daughter. But he is going to raise eyebrows in some circles.
You don't think we need another Romney. We have to pressure candidates to the right. The left is doing it, but you want to declare, "surrender."
Great exile breaking post. You are correct. Conservatism is being Alinskyed from within.
See you don't understand. They aren't conservatives. But I want someone who would show up and fight. Why did a lot of RINOs vote no today, but Cruz couldn't? You should realize what youre doing.
You don't realize what you are doing. You are saying it's okay to wimp out. You should be pressuring candidates to the right, instead of giving the message that they don't have to fight.
Yea but it’s the last one. I’ll send you my email address in a PM.
Too much willful liberalism on FR these days for me.
No you are not pushing him anywhere. Making a mountain out of a molehill will not push him anywhere. He is exactly where he needs to be. He does not need to go anymore right. We know where he stands on this nominee.
Go boost your own candidate. When there is a REAL issue with Cruz, please do come back.
So you think Loretta Lynch is a silly issue? If it was such a silly issue then Cruz shouldn’t have said he would vote against her.
You mean revving up the base with bills that won’t go anywhere. Call me when he gets it passed and signed by Obama. Cruz is getting pretty silly with all this.
Where in the Senate rules does it say that Senators only show up for cloture votes?
MSNBC much?
Everyone who is in favor of such an amendment would already vote for him, and this only gives those who might be persuaded to support him another reason not to.
It accomplishes nothing.
What candidate?
So you wanted Harriet Myers on the Supreme Court?
You must be very stoned to be rambling like this.
If you were courageous, you would pick important battles, rather than waste you time trying to harm a good man over nothing.
