Loretta Lynch, after being kept waiting in the wings by the Senate for five and a half months, was confirmed Thursday as the first African American woman to serve as Attorney General.
Lynch was approved 56-43, one of the narrowest margins in history for an attorney general nominee.
The vote ended an unusually partisan episode in modern Senate confirmation history, in which a largely uncontroversial nominee to one of the top cabinet posts was kept out of office for a lengthy period over issues extraneous to her job.

Even though the vote is a done deal, no harm in burning up the phone lines to the Senate GOP to inform them that they are truly a bunch of worthless, lawless losers, and that those that voted 'Yea' that are up for re-election in 2016 will be challenged. It's time to go on the attack against the RINO's.

Would he recognize Connecticut today? Hardly. He'd have difficulty recognizing much into which this nation has developed. Sad.

Wonderful. Cruz can speechify to us all as we’re marched off to the re-education camps by Eric Holder In Pumps.
Yippe skip.

Every single one of these backstabbers needs to be primaried and replaced.McConnell and Cochran were. The GOPe did everything they could to destroy their conservative challengers. We see the fruits of that here.

They. Don’t. Care. They won on “punch them in the nose” and smearing conservatives as racists. They love the taste of conservative tears.

Why the cowardice? So, why should we bother supporting this man? He has great ideas and a great history, but he's missing all these committee meetings, and now this. At least Walker, for all his faults, actually proved workable conservative governance in a blue state.
So right now, I'm not sure who to support.

Cochran has been a traitor, he slandered his conservative opponent as a racist-to black Democrat voters, yet-in order to get their votes in the primary to keep a conservative out of the race. Not to mention, he’s so senile that I wonder if he even knows what he does anymore, or if he just gets his orders repeated to him like a 2 year old from whoever Haley Barbour has on Cochran’s staff, and then gets sent out to follow orders.
