A Navy chaplain who faces the end of a stellar 19-year career because of his faith-based views on marriage and human sexuality was told by a base commander to refrain from offering a prayer in the name of Jesus, according to attorneys representing the chaplain.
That allegation was tucked away in an 18-page letter written to the commander of Navy Region Southeast by Liberty Institute attorneys representing Chaplain Wesley Modder. Liberty Institute is a law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases.
Liberty Institute asserts that Chaplain Modders fate could have a significant impact on every Christian military chaplain.
The letter included the results of Liberty Institutes investigation of allegations levied against the chaplain by Captain John Fahs.
Ill tackle that newest allegation later but first heres a recap of what I believe to be the LGBT-inspired witch hunt against Chaplain Modder:
Last December, an openly gay officer at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in South Carolina, took offense at Modders take on homosexuality. The chaplain, who is endorsed by the Assemblies of God, was accused of discrimination and failing to show tolerance and respect among other things.
Just a few months earlier, Modders commander had called him the best of the best and a consummate professional leader. But now hes on the verge of being kicked out of the military.

Hey Gubmint!
If you don’t want a Christian prayer....don’t ask a Christian preacher.
How does a Christian chaplain do his duties as a chaplain without using the name of Jesus Christ?
“One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” Martin Luther King’s words, which just correspond with the above assertion, perfectly tell us what to do in face of laws, either just or unjust.
What if he prayed in the name of Baal?
So, for muslims is praying in the name of allah permitted?
The Navy wouldn't want to be accused of being Islamophobic, now would it?
But ‘Allah’ would be accepted, no doubt.
There is still power in the name of Jesus!
I want to guarantee you that this anti- savior crap is going to end.
RE: Dont pray in the name of Jesus
Mark my words, the next one will be — YOU MUST OFFICIATE IN GAY WEDDINGS or face dishonorable discharge.
You heard it here first.

2 Thessalonians 2:2-5 King James Version (KJV)
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
There is no other way to pray
I hope God understands and forgives the un-Christian like thoughts I am having regarding this issue...
So, can Catholic chaplains end a prayer “through Christ our Lord, in unity with the Holy Spirit, Amen”???
I am sure that is also forbidden.
Amen, and thank you!
I love listening to this pastor! I would love to be able to attend his services! Very uplifting!
Nice to see you back:)

To a Christian, this is the same thing as saying: “you can chew your meal, but you CANNOT swallow the food.
Well, there goes the navy. Obama has 4 more branches of the military to kill. Next to fold probably the airforce. Then the army. Then coast guard. Marines will probably be last to fold but they are on the way. Surely when Obama appoints the first transgender transracial hermaphrodite Marines resign in protest it’s gone.
