Jeb Bush is eating like a caveman, and he has literally shrunk in size. The former Florida governor, expected to seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, is on the popular Paleo diet, which is based on what are believed to be the eating habits of the Paleolithic hunters and gatherers. For Paleo practitioners, lean meat and fruits and vegetables are in and processed foods, dairy products and sugary delights are out.

no bread, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes, no desserts, no starchy foods...just high protein and veggies (mostly leafy plus broccoli, cauliflower and the like).
Sounds almost identical to the Atkins Diet.

I’m working on that. Besides it seems that more and more processed and even higher end restaurant food gives me head and sometimes body aches. Seafood primarily. There is a family place that makes 1st rate fried flounder and other stuff, no problems.

um... mammals, birds and fish. The specific types don't matter.
fruits and vegetables are nearly as old as the dinosaurs and would have been available to hunter gatherers in limited quantities

Yes, Paleo and Atkins are nearly the same, both are great, especially for men in my opinion, which I believe to have slightly different dietary needs that women.

It actually is. Just more fruits and veggies. It works best when you throw a vigorous exercise program in the mix.
It's the only diet that I have found that actually works for me.
I should add that it is still important to eat a lot of fiber. I still eat bran cereal that has a high insoluble fiber content.

The Maori, Fijians, Samoans, I read some book. One of those would and still eat raw foods and is probably why they are in fairly good shape. It varies from people to people.

Karl Rove: Yeah, I think you could lose some weight. That certainly would make the people better understand when you tell them about Common Core and Amnesty. Trust me.

Did the diet also shrink his brain? His diet during previous campaigns must have completely shrunk his b@!!s.

Paleo works. I actually lost 60 pounds in 4 months with it. Basically, you eliminate carbohydrates from your diet. Meats, fruits, veggies, and water are fine, but no bread, sugar, pasta, processed food, or soda. It tough and you lose energy, but brutally effective for dropping fat.

So basically it sounds like Atkins, only with fruits added.

Yeah, high protein, no carbs. I’ve been trying to get back onto it, but I need high energy levels for my job, and crashing in the afternoon doesn’t cut it at the office.

I think carb intake is so out-of-whack, that what is called “Low Carb” really is the normal amount of carbs.

No bread, no pasta, no potatoes, no rice, no sugar, similar to phase one Atkins. Works whenever tried, in my experience.
I call it the Al Sharpton diet: “White is not right!!!”

“Europeans developed lactose tolerance 10,000 years ago. That was a beneficial genetic mutation.”
Lactose intolerance isn’t the reason that reducing the use of dairy products can be beneficial, just as “bread intolerance” isn’t the reason that reducing the use of processed grains can be beneficial.
