Jeb Bush is eating like a caveman, and he has literally shrunk in size. The former Florida governor, expected to seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, is on the popular Paleo diet, which is based on what are believed to be the eating habits of the Paleolithic hunters and gatherers. For Paleo practitioners, lean meat and fruits and vegetables are in and processed foods, dairy products and sugary delights are out.

Considering humans have penetrated every corner of the globe by perhaps 50,000 years ago what would a paleo diet consist of. The clovis people I am sure ate different things than homo sapiens in Europe or Oceania.

Following a fad diet does not increase my confidence in one's judgment.

Jebster won’t get elected even if he gets down to my weight, which he never will.
His weight is not the issue, it’s him being a Democrat in an R jersey and a cheap labor importer.

Jeb, take your wife back home to Mexico and run for President there.

Dude, the “paleos” ate absolutely anything they could get their hands on. That’s what you do when you are living a subsistence lifestyle, otherwise you risk starving to death.

Thankfully, we don’t have to live that way anymore, and have the luxury of being picky, even to the point of chasing fad diets of dubious merit.

They ate meat and fish, just maybe slightly different ones. They ate fruits and vegetables, but again, just slightly different ones.

The point isn’t to eat a particular meat or fruit or vegetable, it’s to avoid foods that were not available until more recently in history after the advent of farming.

What type of meat then. The sources of our meats were not domesticated until the Neolithic Revolution. Fruits and vegetables like the tomato were based on domestication and have very little in common with their wild ancestors..

They also undoubtedly scavenged. I doubt Jebster is feasting on roadkill....

Paleo really works.
Friends of mine who compete in Spartan Race have convinced me it is healthy and effective.
Cut out bread and dairy, that’s about it.

It doesn’t help inflated ego or overall stupidity.

Europeans developed lactose tolerance 10,000 years ago. That was a beneficial genetic mutation.

Did you ever stop to consider that the dims lie about everything....so why not lie about global warming.

Expect life to be cold, short and brutish when the sun's magnetic field declines and no sunspots form.

you might polish up on some of those Paleo survival skills.

I eat paleo for the most part. It works.

The best way to describe is: no bread, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes, no desserts, no starchy foods...just high protein and veggies (mostly leafy plus broccoli, cauliflower and the like).

The weight flies off and blood pressure comes down.

I break it a couple of times a month just so life is still worth living.

What the heck does global warming have to do with a fad diet?
