I’m generally a low carb dieter, but a Paris hotel delivered a basket of croissants one morning. My husband can’t live without honey. I was terribly embarrassed when hubby woke up and I had to confess to dipping whole croissants into his honey jar. Just awesome. Then there was something reminiscent of “When Harry Met Sally” when hubby literately dragged me away from the table because the cab was waiting. I’d have taken the plate with me if I could have. I have no idea what I was eating but it was something Middle Eastern. When it comes to cheese though, the best ones I’ve ever eaten were from New Zealand, as well as their butter. But you know, God never lets me fast and I think it’s because I’ve been on a diet since I was about 14- that’s over 40 years. That sure makes me appreciate splurging on good food once in a blue moon.

YUM!! Don’t know how I missed eating croissants! We were there on the cheap, though, being a lowly airman and wife [me], and stayed in a very forgettable bed/no breakfast. LOL!

We ate most of our meals at a French cafeteria close to that hotel, and walked a lot. Luckily we were close to the Champs- Elysées. We did take a side trip to Versailles.

Good memories!
