Sen. Ted Cruz is firing back at The New York Times for calling his support of the Second Amendment “strange” by reminding the paper that he wasn’t the only “ridiculous” one who felt that way about gun rights.
The Texas Republican penned an op-ed for National Review on Sunday, featuring quotes from five gun-loving American patriots, driving home the message that if guns were OK with them, then guns must not be all bad.
Cruz wrote:
“The writer, the lead editor for the Times’ editorial page, continued, ‘I just don’t get the argument on constitutional or historical grounds’.”
“Perhaps this will help. Let’s survey some other ‘silly’ people who have embraced this heretical understanding of our liberties.”
So here we go. Courtesy of Sen. Cruz, five Americans who said they were okay with guns.
“And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms…”
“But if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people, while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights..,”
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.”
“The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.”
“The only refuge left for those who prophesy the downfall of the State governments is the visionary supposition that the federal government may previously accumulate a military force for the projects of ambition. The reasonings contained in these papers must have been employed to little purpose indeed, if it could be necessary now to disprove the reality of this danger. That the people and the States should, for a sufficient period of time, elect an uninterrupted succession of men ready to betray both; that the traitors should, throughout this period, uniformly and systematically pursue some fixed plan for the extension of the military establishment; that the governments and the people of the States should silently and patiently behold the gathering storm, and continue to supply the materials, until it should be prepared to burst on their own heads, must appear to every one more like the incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy, or the misjudged exaggerations of a counterfeit zeal, than like the sober apprehensions of genuine patriotism.

Short of willing to take up arms over the issue, America will never be COMPLTELY abortion free again. Unless we take small steady steps like the ems di with fruit advocacy.

Keeping religion out of the focus of the abortion issue would do more good than speaking about abortion, even though I agree that abortion is murder, period. However, when anyone of any integrity uses religion then he is trashed immediately and dismissed as ‘crazy’.
If some MSM idiot would ask Cruz or any other Conservative candidate a trick question about abortion and try to paint him into a corner, I would like to see that candidate respond similarly to the following:
“With the millions of abortions that have already occurred, how many Einstein’s have been murdered by way of abortion? How many Bill Gates’ have been murdered by way of abortion? How many Steve Jobs’ have been murdered by way of abortion? How many Dr. Jonas Salks’ have been murdered by way of abortion? How many MLKs have been murdered by way of abortion? How many future US presidents have been murdered by way of abortion? We shall never know, shall we?”
I am wondering how the murderous, abortion freaks would respond.
The more propaganda they trow out there and trash Ted Cruz the more people will stop and take notice of the liberals “ ginnned up trumped up “ “ controversy “ and listen to what Ted Cruz actually has to say.
There will be a tipping point, but it won’t be in the liberals or NYTs favore.
It’s NYTs attempt of projection to form in the minds of the unwashed sheeple to their opinion of Ted Cruz as crazy, strange, not with the times, unacceptable, for the uninformed sheeple to gobble it up as real news to craft the narrative.
In another time in the past they ( liberals ) would not have had a problem with the word “ strange “ because that is what gays were once called, queer.

Actually Ted Cruz has already turned the tide back in the media’s faces with gotcha questions.
By using his experience of arguing cases before the supreme court and a champion debater, that he does in such a intelligent way explaining what he stands for and why they ( liberals, media ) are wrong and them trying to figure it out what hit them while he’s miles away in another town.
This is the time of choosing now, they are trying to thin out the herd by sending us unaaceptible canadates in this primary season.
Ted Cruz is vetting himself by standing up for what he believes in, he stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Those who have convictions have already made their minds up.
Ted Cruz IS the only choice for conservatives in this race.
The others need not apply, we have already found our canadate, so let’s get on with it.
