Making the general public aware about tough issues that need addressing is obviously a good thing. But theres a right way and a wrong way to go about doing it. A Reddit post supposedly containing a message from the cellphone of a cadet has raised questions concerning an allegedly mandatory ROTC event. In the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event, cadets were required to wear high heels and march to raise awareness of sexual assault against women.

What if All the high heeled cadets were homosexuals, what effect would this march have?
This wasn't done for remedy, it was done for the PC gods.
Everyone should try... plus send it to your congress person with a simple "WTF?"
I think it's more than just PC, it's an attack of the virility and distinctions of manhood...
Maybe you could explain more, I don't get your comment.
I got very agitated after seeing this. It breaks my heart. I said “can you believe this, what is happening to our country”. She got angry and said I was overreacting it’s just shoes. And went inside to watch TV because I don’t know, I’m homophobic or something.
And she is die hard republican. Pease no insults of fiancé lol
One wants our precious active duty (and this includes Cadets) men and women to "hang in there", better days are ahead, and to let all relatives and friends to know what's going on, and to vote GOP (assuming a conservative candidate) in 2016.
You are right, there's a lot more going on than meets the eye:
excerpt : This is problematic since men are much less likely to report these incidents, leaving their attackers in positions of power and keeping the pain inside to boil over into other relationships.
The power structure within the military also makes these attacks more prevalent, because men in lower ranks may find it hard to report their attackers if they are superiors.
'When a gunnery sergeant tells you to take off your clothes, you better take off your clothes. You don't ask questions,' former Marine Sam Madrid (name changed) said.

Way too many of the soldiers in that pic look as if they are just fine with this asinine stunt.
Ditch the Bitch.
JESUS I said that’s my fiancé!!!! Boy, tough crowd. She has taken care of me after brain injury for six years doing stuff no woman in her early forties should have to do. Not such a cut and dry decision. But thanks for the advice lol
Brain injury still affecting your judgment?
Who ever did this needs to be taken down, quick. How perverted and demeaning.
you must be great to have a beer with lol
Is she the husband or the wife?
And she is die hard republican. Pease no insults of fiancé lol
She's right, they are just shoes, but it's not the shoes, it's the exercise - that men in uniform are nothing more than props for the latest PC event... how would she feel if these cadets had collars around their necks, being walked like dogs by the PC police dressed in whatever PC police dress in these days? ... because that is what is going on... that is what's being done to these potential warriors... it should break hearts..
ps. I am sure she is a good woman... people see things differently...
God my Blood is boiling after reading that article. I hate what my country has become. Is this how it felt to be a good German in 1933?
Won't happen, but I agree exactly - like when exactly does shame kick in?
thanks for the good woman comment :)
the problem is, and I am going to generalize cause it’s true, she plays candy crush all night while watching nitwit reality shows and I read politics for hours, and we get the same vote, 1.
Ever since I started taking the Ferry to Manhattan, I noticed right away that men were reading the WSJ or the editorials of NY Post, which, though a rag, is very right wing in editorials, and the women were all reading Vogue, or Enquirer or People or some such crap.
And their vote counts just the same.
Only ever dated one politically well read AND bright gal, she was great. She was Jewish and I was Catholic but I loved her. Then it happened. We passed a pro life march. The rest if history. Just like the Seinfeld episode lol
“Yes, sir! I am now medically disqualified from the service because my feet were ruined in that stunt last April. So I am not able to accept a commission. But thanks for the full ride for my college education and the extra beer money! See ya!”
Is that a photo of “Chelsea” Manning?
It’s a common “awareness” campaign. I was in Ohio last year this time and a minor league baseball team did it. Had a guy try to run bases in heels. No big deal. Nothing sexual, or deviant about it. Nothing to see here.
