Marco Rubio’s deranged religion, Ted Cruz’s bizarre faith:
Salon.com ^ | April 19, 2015 | Jeffrey Taylor

Posted on 04/19/2015 6:21:19 AM PDT by Kaslin

Aspirants to the White House, both Democratic and Republican, have, as we all know, begun “announcing,” thus initiating, from a rationalist’s point of view, a media carnival featuring, on both sides, an array of supposedly God-fearing clowns and faith-mongering nitwits groveling before Evangelicals and nattering on about their belief in the Almighty and their certainty that if we just looked, we could find answers to many of our ills in the Good Book.

The candidates will cloak their true agendas – serving the Lords of Wall Street far more zealously than Our Father who art (or really, art not) in heaven – in pious patter about “values,” about the need to “restore America” and return us to the state of divinely granted exceptionalism President Obama has so gravely squandered. This Season of Unreason will end with the elections of November 2016, but its consequences – validation of the idea that belief without evidence is a virtue, that religion, and especially Christianity, deserves a place in our politics, our Constitutionally enshrined secularism notwithstanding – will live on and damage the progressive cause.

But it does not have to be this way.

It is “people” (and I use the term loosely) like this that will not survive the upcoming crisis. They will last less than two weeks, once things get down dirty and serious. And good riddance, I say.

Hopefully, God hasn’t called to him yet, because it is He who determines that moment, and if He already has, it is too late.

It’s not hate speech if the editor signs off before publishing...

You can repeat the same message constantly to the left, but it's meaning still continues to evade them and drive their delusions...

The author is consumed with hatred.

Almost demonic.

It was demonic; this self-important, delusional little creature has no idea Who he'll have to answer to a nanosecond after his demise.

>>They have nothing to look forward to, up to.

Prov 8:27-31
27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,
when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above
and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 when he gave the sea its boundary
so the waters would not overstep his command,
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.

30 Then I was the craftsman at his side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,
31 rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.
NIV

The Creator's marvelously ordered craftsmanship is all around us

But Nature has rules directing us to worship our Creator instead of ourselves and our own created things.

Num 16:1-2

16 Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites — Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth — became insolenta 2 and rose up against Moses.

NIV

And the angels fell.

"Almost demonic."

There s nothing "almost" about his demonic vitriol. He is filled with hate, which takes a lot of energy to maintain, and leaves no room for anything "good." It consumes him.

Funny how the democratic party has become the party of atheists and communists. They really have hijacked the party. We need to make sure people know this.

"I will work to build up Jefferson’s wall of separation between church and state. Secularism and reason offer us the only way out of our dilemmas. We have to grow up and realize that, barring interference from forces of nature beyond our control, everything we humans achieve, or fail to achieve, depends on us."

Jefferson's "wall" was intended to empower Individuals in order that the relationship between themselves and their Creator would be free from state-established coercion.... atheist or otherwise.

Stopped reading right there.

Don't worry I am not going to hammer you. Normally when I read lines like this my reply is always that no one forced you to read the article. I could not read the article myself except for the the first two paragraphs. I am not interested what a left wing lunatic has to say. That is why I mute them on TV or add a barf alert to the title. I had to to do that in the comment post in #1 because the title was to long

One day every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

In Heaven, on Earth, and under the Earth.

For some it will be rejoicing.

Others? Not so much ...

I normally don’t read that Salon rag, but I knew it would need the barf alert and hurl alert warning

Actually, I did read more because I wanted to know the author's position and accomplishments. So he is a 'contributing editor' at the formerly readable (decades ago) Atlantic Magazine. He is also, by his own lights, a militant atheist!

From the last paragraph of his screed!
Atheists can dream. They can dream of a candidate (and future president) who will, one day, say “I do not believe in God. I do not believe in a hereafter. I believe we have one life on our precious planet, which floats amid a cosmic void of unfathomable dimensions governed by the unyielding laws of physics. I will follow reason and promote consensus-based policies that will do the greatest amount of good for the greatest number of people. I will work to build up Jefferson’s wall of separation between church and state. Secularism and reason offer us the only way out of our dilemmas. We have to grow up and realize that, barring interference from forces of nature beyond our control, everything we humans achieve, or fail to achieve, depends on us. There is no hope, save in ourselves.”

Blasphemy.

Our help is in The Lord, who made Heaven and Earth.

Yeah, I don’t bother reading anything from Salon anymore. They’re purely insulting.

They are also certifiable nuts.

Salon has chosen the path of "wrong." I guess the point of posting Salon articles to FR is know what the damned are thinking otherwise Salon has absolutely nothing of worth to offer.
