On March 24th the YouTube channel Model Pranksters elected to upload the following video to their channel, and it becomes a prank gone horribly wrong.
They apparently thought it would be a wise idea to travel to Kentucky, dress up as the murderer from the Scream movies, hide in the darkness, pop out with what appears to be a rifle, and point it at innocent people. Watch what happens when he chooses the wrong guy to scare, and then nearly wets himself.
I wish I could say I laughed at that video while watching it, but I didnt. Frankly I found it extremely dangerous, and disturbing. I think I speak for most concealed carriers when I say, that prankster is very lucky to still be walking this Earth. Most law-abiding gun owners wouldnt have hesitated to start sending groups of lead in his direction, and it wouldve been No Billed and justified. The fact that he was actually pointing what appears to be a rifle at innocent and unsuspecting people could actually be construed as Terroristic Threatening in the Third Degree under KY state law. Theres some pranks that you just dont do.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
The police would have come to the scene, seen the mask and the fake rifle, and concluded it was a robbery attempt... not a prank.
“Paging Charles Darwin, please pick up the white courtesy phone”
Bunch of idiots. They come down to Guntucky and pull this crap? Somebody will hose these dimwits with lead. They’re lucky they got out of there not looking like Swiss cheese.
Idiots, plain and simple. It’s a miracle he wasn’t blown away.
The comments on the youtube video itself are interesting.
prolly a set-up aimed at boosting his pathetic Youtube videos, note how he wasn’t quite shaken-up enough to forget to plug his channel.
Still, a damn good way to end it if you’re too chicken for suicide.
Scene starts around 1:30 if anyone wants to skip the rest of the stupidity.
I would’ve started firing. I was in a defensive discharge situation 10 years ago, and I still have nightmares. This is so far outside of the realm of acceptable behavior. You might be able to get away with this in states where people are prohibited from carrying, but walking about with a mask and a fake carbine would get people ventilated in most parts of the south.
I thought the same thing. Any responsible gun owner would have taken some sort of concealed carry training course and known that it doesn't work on the streets the way it does in the movies: you don't brandish and have a chat. A well-trained gun owner would've pulled his weapon and opened fire immediately. That's an imminent threat.
It also probably qualifies as assault with a deadly weapon (the fact it was fake is irrelevant), a serious felony.

They're libtards!
As it should be.
This is a story to be bookmarked.
Remember that there is a generation of fools raised on such dreck as MTV’s ‘Jackass’ and ‘Punk’d’, and SyFy’s ‘Scare Tactics’.
And websites like Worldstarhiphop, that feature public brawls guarantee that real idiots will start fights just so that their friends can camera video them for their one minute of Internet fame.
If he did that to an off duty cop he would have been dead.
Guy needs to sell his gun. If he wasn’t willing to use it in that circumstance, he’s never going to be willing to use it. He’s just not suited to carry.
I’d have shot the fool. Instantly.
What an idiot.
Yup.
I agree. If there was ever a justification, someone coming at you with a mask and a rifle is *IT*.
It makes me believe that perhaps the CCW was not CCW after all, but just an illegal carrier. An illegal carrier would be less likely to want to shoot unless it was a situation they initiated.
