Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) has endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for president, giving the 2016 contender his first endorsement.
Ted Cruz is committed to restoring the America we know and love," Culberson said in a statement. "He will restore the true meaning of the 10th Amendment to get the federal government out of our lives, out of our pockets and out of our way. President Ted Cruz will ensure that Texans truly run Texas.
Cruz's campaign has struggled to get support from his colleagues in Congress. Fellow Texas Sen. John Cornyn (R) said that he would stay neutral in the Republican primary, and even close ally Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) declined to endorse him.

Yes he is.....
It’s called the Rubio/Lee tax plan
Well and good, but who the hell is John Culberson? :)
Whaddya they mean his “first” endorsement. I endorsed him the day he announced he was running!
I think this election, we will learn finally whether Palin will be a political force in America, or not.
A lot of people have declared a Palin candidacy unlikely.
They believe she has in effect removed herself from Political activity. They may be right. I have heard from very reputable people, that they have heard, she is not interested in re-running.
I get that.
However I am not yet convinced. I myself believe Palin is unlike any of her competitors.
If she runs again.
That is the big question. I firmly believe, if Palin runs again, she wins next time.
We will find out soon enough. If she does not run this time, she won’t run.
However if she enters the race, I believe she will win.
Big.
Ummm.. I think she has already proven that she is a political force in America. She has given endorsements that have proven that. And she has the bully pulpit that active politicians can't use easily.
I think that even not running for President that she IS a political force in America.
Everyone can't drive the train. It takes the everybody. I think she has found her niche.

Huckabee=Maurice Clemmons
Yes, I agree .. if Huckabee does get in .. it will be at the bidding of the Rino crowd. Glad to see Huckabee has the money to throw around just to try to ruin someone else.
If that turns out to be what he’s doing .. he’ll never get my support.
I thought I saw here on FR that Ted had already agreed to attend the leadership conference. FOX was showing him as a speaker on the 2nd day, along with Walker and somebody else.
Disappointed Lee threw in with Rubio-the-Amnesty fool and not Cruz. Obviously, Rubio promised something to Lee to get him to partner with him.
Comes out to 1300.00 a year, if I can continue. Roughly half the legal limit
I’ve been watching C-SPAN - and they are playing all the speeches from the Leadership Conference; and Ted Cruz is scheduled to speak later .. not sure if that’s tonight or tomorrow.
Here’s my first-person report from Ted’s appearance at the NH rod and gun club:
I just left this rally. Non-club members weren’t allowed to go to the shooting range, so I didn’t get to see Ted shoot.
I’ll tell you what, though, there were a lot of people carrying openly, within feet of Ted, and there wasn’t “a lot” of security. Let me put it that way. It made ME nervous, especially considering what happened to Chris Kyle. Anyone who drew would have gone down in a hail of bullets, but still...
I couldn’t help but feel that Ted has placed his fate in God’s hands. He didn’t seem nervous at all. Can anyone imagine her highness putting herself in such a situation?
Ted began with what is probably his standard stump speech, with a heavy emphasis on the 2A, since this was a 2A rally.
The mic went in and out in the opening minutes. When it went out, he said, “Eric Holder’s cut the mic!” That got a lot of laughs.
Cruz delivers a speech well, without notes. Following the speech, he allowed 5 or 6 questions. He deftly answered every question as if he had been reading from a prepared statement.
We NEVER have to fear him making a faux pas. He is the anti-Biden.
On top of that, I learned that Ted has a great sense of humor. He’s quick. Three or four times he came up with truly funny quips off the cuff.
A lawyer stood up to ask a question, after first apologizing for being from Massachusetts and having never fired a gun.
“We can fix that problem today,” Ted said, to a lot of laughs.
The setting was a humble NH rod and gun club, with about 150 people in attendance. Ted spoke in front of a Quonset hut, which was the group’s headquarters. He was wearing a light blue shirt and khaki pants with a Western belt. He looks to be about 6’, and in good shape for a man his age. His wife is slight. She seems sweet and reserved.
After the speech and questions, Ted stayed to have his picture taken. I was able to get his autograph. I told him that “we love you, Ted, and the best of luck to you.”
A man in front of me in line had a prepared prayer written down and asked anyone around if they would pray with him. I have to admit, I thought, “oy, how long is this going to go?” There were a lot of people waiting.
Ted listened patiently to the reading of Ephesians 6:10-18, and the man’s personal prayer. Ted prayed along, and then joked with the man’s son. “How was the speech? Was it OK? Or was it boooring?”
Ted has a firm handshake and looks you in the eye. I watched him listen patiently to several individuals who were pouring out their hearts to him. He listened patiently to every syllable, and addressed their points specifically. He wasn’t looking past the person speaking, thinking of what was coming next. It reminded me of a priest hearing a confession. He seems like a truly good man.
On the way home I was listening to the radio and heard the Sox score. I thought about the fact that there were probably 30k people in attendance at today’s game. Then I thought, how can there be only 150 people in attendance at a rally for a man who could be the greatest statesman in a generation?
Mike Lees gone RINO?
Oh my God! I have just about seen everything. Because a good conservative didn’t endorse someone who is conservative 16 months before an election, he is a RINO.....lol. No wonder some get a kick out of the wackiness shown by conservatives.
.Anyone notice who is missing on Drudge page today??
Carley Ferino. You are right. That sucks for her
You cant even spell her name correctly lol
Not just today, I noticed that right away last night. As posted before this, the Media
cannot fight Cruz so I think they'll try to either ignore him, or expect him to scream
like a spoiled child for attention. And that's not going to happen.
And those are not flattering pictures of the candidates either. Crispy
looks like he's letting one go. LOL
Obviously Drudge Report couldn’t either and left anyone insignificant off the list. Carley Fiorina is a nut case and an embarrassment to the human race.
