As reported On July 16 2015, country singer Tim McGraw along with Billy Currington will headline a fundraiser for gun control group Sandy Hook Promise in Connecticut.
Sandy Hook Promise is a vehicle through which various relatives of Sandy Hook victims have joined to push gun control until it passes. Newtown father Mark Bearden joined the group pledging to “dedicate the rest of his life” to pursuing gun control.
McGraw says he supports the Sandy Hook Promise, “Sandy Hook Promise teaches that we can do something to protect our children from gun violence“ and as AmmoLand Shooting Sports News has repeatedly reported the phrase “Gun Violence”, especially in Connecticut, is gun banner speak for more Gun Control.
Well 10,000’s McGraw fans did not take well to him kicking their 2A rights in the groin and took to McGraws Facebook page to protest. That is where the Mcgraw team decided free speech was bad too.
As the protest comment filled their Facebook page they proceeded to delete any unfavorable comments from pro gun fans.

someone needs to start a "Boycott Tim McGraw" facebook page. On another FR thread someone suggested that everyone send any McGraw CDs they have to the the local Country music radio station stating that you don't want it anymore and why. Give him the Dixie Chicks treatment.

Let’s see- Tim McGraw is pushing for gun bans because UNARMED kids in school were unable to defend themselves against a person with guns hell bent on murdering them? He wants to disarm even more people to ‘fix’ the problem? Had guns been allowed In the school In the first place, by trained armed teachers and guards- this tragedy would never had happened- it seems that IF Timmy really cared about those families, he would be advocating for MORE guns to help protect them against CRIMINALS who WILL get guns no matter what-
The whole reason these shootings keep happening is because criminals are overjoyed about the FACT that creeps like Timmy are unarming us and making us DEFENSELESS!

I just read a little bit ago that Bily Currington has pulled out - said he’s a singer period and not into politics and issues. Just one who understands the statement “just shut up and sing”.
Didn’t buy his music before but won’t even watch any movies he’s in now. Same with Liam Neeson, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Sean Penn or any of the other looneys. They’d do themselves (and the studios) a huge favor by keeping their mouths shut up about politics. People who live in extreme wealth who are exempt or unaffected by O’s tentacles shouldn’t preach from inside their bubbles they should just STFU and act...
It seems like McGraw and Jeb have the same career consultant.

Just as I was reading this, a news story on the radio about the same subject came on. Currington has dropped off the tour over this, and Tugs bastard son is getting a lot of negative feedback

While I agree that he’s supporting gun control, and is anti-2A, there’s nothing anti-1A with his pulling posts from his Facebook site. He’s not the government. He’s still a dipwad.

He is trying to trample the Second Amendment, and I will boycott his music forever because of that. As for the First Amendment, as private individuals they are entitled to censor speech on their webpages.
