He doesn't have a snowball's chance in getting the nomination but he could do some damage to Hillary on the way to her coronation.
We’ll see if Webb becomes the ABC (Anybody But Clinton) candidate whom Democrats opposed to Hillary coalesce around.
For such a clear front runner, I must say, the lack of enthusiasm among leading Democrats to her roll out has been notable. Late night comedians are making fun of Hillary’s roll out. She may yet have a bumpy ride to her coronation.
Jim Webb is probably one of the last of the Truman Democrats.
He is a dying breed.
OK, I’m asking because I really want to know: If the General Election came down to Jim Webb (D) and Jeb Bush (R), which one is more “Conservative”?
He’s also the scumbag who threw his “friend” and fellow vet to the wolves when his friend was caught carrying Webb’s weapon into the capitol.
Amen. Well said. He is outstanding. A throwback to the real leaders of the past. What are the better characteristics of the others to lead the U.S.?
I am thinking an O’Malley/Castro ticket.
O’Malley at least has a worthwhile skill he can use on the talk show circuit. Playing guitar with the band will get the youth vote. Just like Clinton with the sax and Obama with his choom gang.
Fact is, unless she can roll over, play dead or has another useful skill, Hillary is toast.
The signal is, “two if by van, one if by broom.”
I don’t know but if I HAD to choose between those two I would vote for Webb.
I don't see Democrats coalescing around Webb. But I do see him tossiing bombs from the background, reminding white swing-voters that their interests are no longer represented by the current Democratic party. If he can get a platform to speak, he could do untold damage to Hillary's candidacy with this demographic by the time he throws in the towel.
I think a healthy, well-funded Webb campaign would be a nightmare for Hillary Clinton.
RE: He is outstanding. A throwback to the real leaders of the past.
THAT is the reason why the Democrats WILL NOT make him their candidate.
I can’t believe you guys are giving this guy any kind of quarter. He voted for Obamacare, he was the 60th vote. That being said let him join the circus. We do need some Democrat debates, can’t hold debates for one person you know.
Jeb Bush is more conservative. There's no denying that James Webb is a solid, unapologetic liberal on most issues.

This being said, there's far worse Democrats out there that we could lose to.
His millstone is that he’s not far enough left for the newly rabid lunatics making up the biggest base of the democrat party. He’ll be trashed as a right-winger and the campaign will die with a whimper.
That said, I wouldn’t vote for him simply because he’s a democrat, and, in the end, the party will rule any administration.
Jim Webb has a family tradition of military service — He loves, honors, and reveres the military, especially the Marine Corps.
I believe he would reverse a lot of the damage done to America by odumbo.
Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t support all the other liberal BS, but America would certainly take its rightful place in the world again as a Superpower that should be respected by third world $hitholeastans.
Webb’s also against anti-white “affirmative action” programs and was against EPA seizing control over CO2 emissions. I think he’d have a very hard time winning the Democrat nomination. Would be fun to watch, though.
I think only someone to the left of Hillary could defeat her for the nomination.
But yes Webb could bleed some of her dough on the primary trail.
It would be bad news if she hits Sept ‘16 with her full $2.5 billion war chest. That was certainly a big help for Baraq in 2012.
There is no such thing as a conservative democrat. He is a liberal and no better than obumbler and the witch.
RE: There is no such thing as a conservative democrat. He is a liberal and no better than obumbler and the witch.
I didn’t call him a conservative, he is LIBERAL, but he’s not a phony like Hillary.
At least Reagan trusted him enough to appoint him Secretary of the Navy.
He would be the LEAST DAMAGING Democrat on the list. That’s not saying much.
He went off the deep end after Reagan.
I wonder if Melon head’s past will come out or will he be seen as a Republican “light” and be savaged by the media.
