The Russian government under Putin just put a ban on internet pornography, just another indication as to the Christian influence that is dominating Russian society (and rightfully so). According to the report:
A Russian court has instructed Roskomnadzor, the countrys state-controlled Internet watchdog, to block 136 websites hosting pornographic material under the terms of international conventions signed in 1910 and 1923. Vague language in the ruling, first reported by the newspaper Izvestia, means all Internet pornography could soon be illegal in Russia.
The ruling comes after a district attorney in Tartarstans Apastovksy district cited the regulations put in place in the early 20th Century in Czarist Russia and then the USSR, respectively. All of the websites on the list, including some of the most frequently visited in the world, must be blocked within the next three days, Global Voices Online reported.
The court banned the illegal distribution of pornography, though it failed to precisely define what legal distribution of pornography is, meaning millions of other Russian pornography websites could soon be knocked offline as well.
This restriction on Internet activity is just the latest example of Internet crackdowns in Russia since Vladimir Putin returned to the presidency in 2012. The Kremlin recently enacted a law on bloggers that forces popular online writers to register their home address with the government, offers a bounty for anyone able to crack the increasingly popular Tor anonymity software and is forcing Western technology companies to collect and provide information on Russian Internet users.

This is NOT Christianity as you know it, but a form of Eastern Orthodoxy that is mixed with nationalism, and Putin is using these things to justify a Byzantine march into Europe.
“Yeah, 136 porn websites. That should be just about all of them, right?’”
All of the ones run by PootiePoot’s opposition.
I won’t now that you bring it up. Lol
We are so busy “tolerating” the intolerable in this country that nothing is regulated anymore. Our own Government is running roughshod over the people despite the Constitution so everything else falls away as well.
I saw my country going downhill in the 60’s....once they passed Roe vs wade and ‘the sanctity of life’ was no more then everything became a sexual issue in one form or another.
....”The only thing regulated in the USA and Eurabia is Christianity & Judaism”....
I stand corrected!
Remember that Obama met with a group of pedophiles and child pornographers in Russia, over Russian objections.
I am not arguing for or against—it’s a sad fact of life—but it would free up a lot of bandwidth. LOL
I wish it could be eliminated, but that is akin to uninventing nuclear weapons. Every survey we’ve taken on bandwith usage shows about 80% porn. It may be less now that other streaming video has caught up some, but I rather doubt it.
Remember when Gorbachev tried to restrict alcohol consumption? I heard that one of the results was the Russian military soon ran out of cleaning fluid.
Pornography and forced labor
The U.S. Department of Labor's List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor issued in December 2014 indicates that the production of pornography in Russia involves both child labor and forced labor. The Department had previously reported that "the primary victims of commercial sexual exploitation are street children, including those who are homeless and orphaned"[4] in its Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor published in 2013. The report also states that "criminal laws on child pornography still do not prohibit possession, and do not protect children ages 14-18."

This is just another flacid Orthodox/KGB/Oprichni attempt to prop Putin up as a "conservative" after having achieved strategic success in the demoralization of Russia's American opposition.
“I may be wrong here, but this may not be a way of stopping porn as it may be a way of arresting whoever they want.”
All countries have that, it’s called drug laws. I still oppose legal pot, but the one thing that keeps tugging at me is how easily a pig can claim to smell weed, and then search my car (legally), and then find the $2000 in cash that I might be carrying (although I don’t do that much).
So I doubt that Putin’s police have any difficulty arresting people at will under existing laws.
Yep. Drug laws turn anyone they want into a felon. All they have to do is say they found a tiny package on you and it’s goodbye freedom, possessions and 2nd amendment. You become a prisoner and exile purely at the whim of the state with no way to defend. “prove these drugs ARENT yours and this ISNT drug money!”
The idiot drug warriors sold out our country over fear of some dopers.
Go Cowboys!!!!!!!.....
Ivan Djakhinoff could not be reached for comment.
Wow a fellow Cowboys fan!! Tom Landry wouldn’t tolerate any of the antics the teams players do now.
Yes we can commiserate together............
Russia is becoming more conservative and Christian.
America is becoming more liberal and secular.
Russia’s star is rising.
America’s star is falling.
Coincidence?
No.
God rewards those who keep His commandments..............
