” The old Shut up and sing meme comes to mind. “
And I wish they would heed it.
I lean slightly yes with him, but I base that on his early stuff. Much like Garth Brooks whose first album and part of the second were gold. Everything since has been crap. Too many of them get to Nashville and then sell their soul just like George and Alan sing about in Murder on Music Row.
I do differentiate between redneck and country as well.
I agree. Dwight's first 3-4 albums were great.
Differentiating between redneck and country - Hmmm.

Blech at his music, he uses autotune. I have no respect for a “singer” that uses it. A talented singer does not need that crutch.

Whereas in CT, they hate violins in the streets!
Yup when a song like "Girl Crush" is called country you know country music is dead.
I remember listening to records of old library of congress “field recordings” where music was recorded..”live” [ of course ] on locations like front porches, backyards...and campfires all across america.
the recordings were a bit thin sounding..... but they were real!
All that work when all he needs is an appropriate # hash tag. /s
“You gotta have a fiddle in the band!”. Think Charlie Daniels Band. Got front row seats for his upcoming gig in Reno. YeeHaw! To quote Roesanne Rosaannadanna: “What’s all this talk about violins in the street?”
No, because that might draw focus to the places where most gun violence actually is.
You mean a pound sign “#”? LOL! Ain’t pop culture grand?
Yes, but still pushing universal background checks like the one in Washington.
“country music doesnt exist anymore.”
Well, I swan. Get one of the grandkids

Would you blame all organizations for all action that their members took outside of the organization?
