Heilemann: 42 Percent of Republicans Would Never Vote for Jeb Bush
Breitbart.com ^ | 4/12/15 | Pam Key

Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” the co-managing editor of Bloomberg Politics John Heilemann said he was shocked when he learned from a new Bloomberg poll that 42 percent of Republicans “said they would never consider voting for Jeb Bush.”

Heilemann said, “We have a Bloomberg politics poll that just came out. We have a viability question. We went to people not to the horse race would you considerably, might consider, never consider,” he explained among “Republicans and independents, 42 percent said they would never consider voting for Jeb Bush. That was a big, that was a shocking number to us.”

He added, “A large number of people in the Republican electorate say they are done with him, they do not want a Bush on the ticket.”

They did it in Mississippi.

Was that a trial balloon to see if we’d roll over for it? (We did, since the midterm polling was intentionally 5pts wrong in the RATS’ favor, so we’d be afraid to ditch any R Senator) now they intend to use RAT crossover voting to keep it all in the Uniparty family.

Correct you are in that RATS won’t need their primary vote unless Warren declares, or O’Malley.

I don't mind voting for someone I loath... as long as they are really conservative.

If a politician is an actual conservative it'd be pretty hard for me to loathe them. Non-conservative politicians fall into the 'loathsome' category almost by default.

With 31 million and rising, me thinks the GOPe’s know that Cruz has plenty
of money to aim at them, just as they aim at him.

Exactly right. People have to let go of their noses while voting.

Mr. bush wouldn’t have it any other way. He gets to be the Nominee and doesn’t have to actually be President.

Only people living inside the echo chamber of DC can be shocked by this

If Jeb Bush wanted a real chance to be President he would run as a Democrat in the Democrat primaries.

I too hope Jeb isn’t the Republican candidate in 2016, but if the race is between Jeb and Hillary, I sure as Shiite ain’t staying home on election day.

If Bush is the nominee we need to form a new party. That said, if it came down to Hillary or Bush I would vote for Bush. But I would not be voting as a Republican - that would be the final straw for me... I would never be a Republican again...

I don't want any more Bushes either, but talk is cheap. When and if it comes down to Hillary vs Jeb, what do you do...I know some zealots will stay home or write in their brother in law. But what will serious adults do?

What really excites me is what Ted can do at the State level, out of the spotlight. Got some RINOs that need primarying? Ted can pull up the right guy for it. As a POTUS candidate, he can endorse whoever the hell he wants this time around.

Need to get rid of a lefty commie Mayor? Ted’s organization can help. Is your Republican county leader anti-TEA? He can be shown the door, too. The possibilities are staggering, and ecstatic to contemplate.

What I would *really* love to see him do while running is re-patriate American business that believe he’ll make coming home profitable. Get 20 or so big names to come back, particularly in RAT strongholds, all before the primaries kick off next year. IMAGINE.

You vote for Jeb. Hell, there will be an FR sponsored thread detailing why we have to.

The same thing they did when Romney and McCain were the nominee’s.

I voted for Romney, but that was the last RINO I will ever vote for.

My advice. Don’t nominate another RINO. The RINO way is not working.

I know ‘12 was rigged, and I voted for Romney, but we wouldn’t have this urgency to restore America if zero hadn’t won and woke a bunch of people up. The midterms illustrate this, which is why it’s the least-analyzed race in political history.

Everybody has their internals to know who crossed over last November, the answers are just too distressing for the Unipary to admit and discuss publicly. And now those same internals are mapping exactly with the data they have today, which is why they’re so silent. The Jig Is Up for them and their oppression of American Voters. They don’t have the money or manpower to reverse it.

I think Rino or conservative is not the problem. I think besides message, it is the way the message is delivered.

That has been a big problem since 1996.

I think that is why I like Cruz. Not only does he have a decent message, even for someone not as conservative as most on this discussion board, but he has an excellent delivery and can think quickly on his feet really well. I truly think Cruz is the ticket as long as his campaign team keeps fine tuning his message and stump speeches. Just saying ...

I don’t find those numbers shocking. Jeb Bush is not a Republican. Why would a Republican vote for him? I will not vote for the guy for any reason. Or Chris Christie. They are my line in the sand.

Just great! This means the GOP-E is sure to double down on making sure that Bush is the nominee.

I see to recall a similar level of voter rejection for John McCain prior to the 2008 primaries.
