Rand Paul of Kentucky said here Monday that he hopes Alexander doesn’t get an opponent and wins re-election. Rand Paul just wanted to wait 10 years while the Tea Party drinks the Kool Aid, and those crazy Tea Party members like Dave Brat are gone and sensible Tea Party members like Grover Norquist move into their new seats.
Then we can have term limits when the Tea Party challengers are not so crazy.

Interesting question, that.
Do you mean, have they all been convinced by the evidence to change their minds? Or do you instead mean, have we driven them all away?
After all, Paul is polling nearly as well as Cruz. Do you prefer an echo chamber or reasoned discussion?
For the record, I don’t yet support Paul or anyone else, but I’m glad he’s bringing his ideas to the table in this election.
