The good news is that a university had these statues to begin with.
Even Mao, at the end said “Shoot them.”
Imagine what wold have ben done to the poor student who did something similar to a statue of MLK.
Reagan a racist. Fn assholes.
See stephenjohnbanker post #5
If they merely put up the tape and a poster, I say go for it even though I disagree. If they damaged the busts, they should be ex-students by tomorrow.
Chapman is a small, church affiliated private school with an enrollment of about 6,500. Those statutes were put there by the school. I don’t think there are many colleges with statues of Reagan, Thatcher, Ayn Rand and other conservative icons.
The FB page says students are allowed to put written protests on the statutes. Every college campus has its leftist faculty and students, but I don’t think this one is in the top tier of leftist hotbeds. And it has highly rated academic areas.
“The new Red Guards
Not really. They’re gutless, bed-wetting wimps who wouldn’t last 10 seconds in a street fight. It’s why they do their work in the dark with no witnesses around. They’re punks.
Rand ping. Her statue is in good company.
Chapman is a good university, especially for one in California. It’s former Dean of the Law School is John Eastman, whose solid conservative credentials are second to nobody.
The more I see of the liberal arguments, the more I am convinced that they have the same mental illness that brought Hitler to power.
Rush Limbaugh has sort been touching on a form of this idea all week. How the democrats/liberals all march in lockstep, in spite of the evidence of facts.
I was going to write since the students want a review of these individuals, a college debate regarding the accusations might be a good lesson. But, as even Limbaugh pointed out all week, facts do not seem to matter to 'these people.'
It is an interesting conundrum that in the arena of truth, ideas, and facts it seems impossible to get them to change their mind. They go into total denial and resort to name calling and/or continued false accusations.
Is it just peer pressure that causes this? I think not. Is it a mental illness as you insinuate? Maybe, but it crosses several generations which raises the question is it more than just mental illness? Every time we turn around psychology is diagnosing people with more and more 'mental illness,' even a person in grief over a tragic event is given mood altering drugs instead of helping them cope through their grief. Almost every mass shooter is a liberal on psych-drugs. How many of these kids are on prescribed drugs in college?
Add into this whole mix that children are not taught independence in school anymore. Instead they learn the school provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kids are taught to fear playing outside and so the lack of physical play begets this made up warped view of the world. A view based not on experience or reality, but on what they are exposed to on the computer, internet, tv, and smart phones. They a brainwashed.
Sure, THIS is free speech. But have two very drunk international students looking to get a little crazy and not understanding the cultural significance of the act, burn another student’s art work which happened to have a cross in it, and the college cancels classes for two days and forces everyone to go to multi-culti sensitivity training.
This is pure communism.
These kids should be prosecuted. Period.
