manatees are not indigenous to Florida.
They were brought here for food much like catltle.
Here on the Indian River they were used to tow folks from the mainland to the island as well as for food.
Any one got any good manatee recipes?

This is obviously STAGED.
Notice the camera is 2-4 feet from the girl, steady as a rock, yet she ignores the cameraman in the water with her. There is a boat about 50 feet away yet she is yelling in all directions for help. At the end of the video she can be seen holding a rope, yet she made no effort to pull herself away from the manatee. Who lays on their back in the water if they fear being bitten?

Her screaming instead of swimming toward the boat was a giveaway.
Also, no one coming to her aid or throwing her a rope/floatation.
