I can think of at least two reasons to hire Kate Upton for a commercial...
Sports Illustrated wanted to do something special for next month’s swimsuit issue, so it decided to blast Kate Upton to 34,000 feet above the surface of the earth for a Zero-G photo shoot.
Teaming up with Zero-G Corp. down in Florida, the magazine sent Ms. Upton up 17 times in a converted Boeing-727 known as G-Force One, Discovery News reported.
“The ZERO-G experience was really exhilarating for everyone involved,” said M.J. Day, editor of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, in a statement. “We have been almost everywhere in the past 50 years with SI Swimsuit, but we have never done anything like this. It was certainly the most out-of-the-box shoot. Once again, Kate surprised us all with how she handled modeling in weightlessness.”

The commercials are working being the primary reason.
Man, did she ever. I’m no Tiger fan, but not very good in the playoffs. Now he’s on the DL I think.
Is she NOT the cure? Seriously, I can’t remember another model that hot since the 90’s.
She’s a supermodel that looks like she’s had a donut now and then.
How is that bad?
My husband plays. It is a complicated game with alliances, skirmishes, major battles, etc. He didn’t even know Kate Upton did commercials for it (though he does now.)
I think there are many more science experiments that would benefit from her help!
For example, the effect of ice water on cotton fabric covered skin has never been fully examined from a scientific standpoint
