Sports Illustrated wanted to do something special for next months swimsuit issue, so it decided to blast Kate Upton to 34,000 feet above the surface of the earth for a Zero-G photo shoot.
Teaming up with Zero-G Corp. down in Florida, the magazine sent Ms. Upton up 17 times in a converted Boeing-727 known as G-Force One, Discovery News reported.
The ZERO-G experience was really exhilarating for everyone involved, said M.J. Day, editor of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, in a statement. We have been almost everywhere in the past 50 years with SI Swimsuit, but we have never done anything like this. It was certainly the most out-of-the-box shoot. Once again, Kate surprised us all with how she handled modeling in weightlessness.
I think there are many more science experiments that would benefit from her help!
For example, the effect of ice water on cotton fabric covered skin has never been fully examined from a scientific standpoint
Kate Upton! Zero-G! the photographer must be dedicated if he wasted that opportunity on photographs.
