Russian hackers who got into the State Department in recent months used that perch to penetrate sensitive parts of the White House computer system, U.S. officials say.

No way! That’s my suitcase password.
I think I see the Re-Set button in there switching State Dept. security settings off on a trunk line to Moscow.
High treason at worst (or best), high crimes and misdemeanors at best (or worst).
If there was any sensitive material at anytime passed through her server, and she signed the legal documents agreeing you will not put any sensitive materials on anything not certified by super duper high tech US servers. Then yes, she can be put in prison. For the rest of her life. Possibly even executed if she willingly gave materials away.
I wonder what would happen to a Pres or SoS if they were convicted of high treason.
As far as I know Snowden does not have the knowledge it would take to bypass WH securities. He was a noobie that was given access to things our government should not be doing, took them and ran while blowing the whistle.
A traitor to the American government for sure, to the American people, not so much.
I don't mean to laugh, actually I was nodding my head up and down as I read what you wrote while I laughed. But sometimes you've got to laugh or you go crazy. Of course she should be investigated - if it was anyone else but Hillary, the US Space Command would have nuked her from orbit by now.
The mysterious good news is that this story started at all, and now it's "keep on keepin' on." Some powerful entities want this out, and they're making it happen.
Who are they? In the Sherlock Holmes story, "The Second Stain," Holmes asks a similar question and the Prime Minister responds, ""There, Mr. Holmes, you take me into regions of high international politics. But if you consider the European situation you will have no difficulty in perceiving the motive. The whole of Europe is an armed camp."
Well, same for the world right now. IMHO, Hillary finally went too far with her trusted blackmail gambit. It took blackmailing basically everyone in the government, but she did it. Just by having... "delicate..." email conversations with people she has private info on, knowing those emails are being copied by basically all the world powers, has undoubtedly created an almost unimaginable level of rage against her.
She's narcissism raised to the power of megalomania, literally trying to size control of the entire world - foreign states and NGOs and multinationals through paid obligation to her foundation, and powerful government employees through blackmail.
There is really no way to properly express the security catastrophe someone at the level of Secretary of State unleashes by compromising the federal classified email system for for years. It's inconceivable. However, once you face it, you're left with the obvious conclusion that someone who would deliberately create such a monstrous breech to our enemies and competitors - MEANT THEM TO USE IT.
Otherwise what's the point? It's just a matter of connecting the dots - the scale of what she did cannot be accidental - therefore, it wasn't.
hyper-text transmission protocol secure.
Ultimately, it could possibly be Hillary's private and VULNERABLE email account that was the pathway the Russian hackers used to gain access to White House systems.

Very good post Talisker.
I expect that would accelerate your namesake.
Very good points. I too hope it "keeps on keepin' on" and the press really grinds this and it takes off. We'll see. You have to think all of Washington D.C. is Very po'ed about what Hillary did. . This crosses all political lines. . All of the Beltway is in on this one. . I would Not want to be Hillary right now. She has a long week to really think about this. I sincerely hope she does not run. .
Oh, and BTW, from here, the last paragraph:
"The Guccifer archive isnt complete and many intelligence services are interested in it. Hot Palestinian documents. Problems in the near future for the Western world. The whole archive is around 30 GB. Thats the submerged part of the iceberg.
We now wait for the media and congress to do something about this. . . Will the conservatives in the house and senate step up to the plate? Will anyone confront this? Are we in such a full blown tyranny that no one will even talk about this? One more week and she supposedly announces. . . Arghh. . .
It's an archive of emails - that means text.
For perspective, the Complete Works of Shakespeare comprise 5 megabytes. Mega - not Giga! Yeah, I'd call 30 GB a "submerged iceberg" LOL!

So Hillary opened up the complete government email and other server systems. . Now, as you mentioned, if it was on purpose, we need to find more evidence. Go for it We the People!
I guess you don’t belong to the group of people who believe that Putin had an apartment building blown up so he could blame it on Chechens, and win the election. So glad that he is not a winner if he did cheat.
Metropolitan DC news was that some small electrical malfunction perhaps 40 miles away is what shut down electricity at the White House, State Dept., and perhaps 15 subway stations. Reported definitely not terrorism related.
According to Hillary...like her server at home the White House server must be safe as its surrounded by secret service agents.
A malfunction 40 miles away shut down power in nearly all the key buildings of American Government?
I have a bridge I would like to sell, and you are just the man I’m looking for.
She’ll never win. I hope she’s the DNC nominee. Would be a boon.
Russia——Iran-——John Kerry’s “negotiating team” compromised
Never forget the stupidity of the American voter.
Based on that knowledge alone, the very thought that She Who Must Not Be Named is considering running, should frighten you.
