Visited Vandenberg a few times in the 80’s when the Air Force was going to launch shuttles there. Nice place but too cold this Floridian.

Mr. Inspectorette and I worked at VAFB for 21 years, both retired in 2005. He was on the shuttle program until it got cancelled after the Challenger explosion in FL in '86. When the layoffs came, he moved over to LMSC where I was already working on the Titan program. We had a Titan blow up on the pad in April '86, scary times!
