Did he even know what was going on?
To paraphrase Bette Davis. “I was taught to only speak good of the dead. Sarah Brady is dead...Good”.
But would you hit it?
Why do you ask the question with the obvious answer? :)
I don’t believe in the conservative tradition of ignoring people’s evil actions simply because they’ve gone to meet their maker. Its one of countless little decencies that our enemies turn and use as a club to pummel us with.
Sarah Brady was at best a willing stooge and at worst an active co~conspirator in the effort to disarm decent, law abiding Americans. The price of her actions was paid and continues to be paid in the blood of the innocents. Instead of 30 years of lunatic control that could have been her legacy, she instead waged jihad on those whose only crime was to want to take their own self defense in their own hands.
I’m saddened that her husband was shot. But I’m horified at the number of children, women, and men who have been slaughtered as a result of her and her cohorts actions.
I hope that God will forgive her.
Sarah Brady was a serial, public spouse-abuser ... constantly dragging her poor, brain-injured husband around as a meat-puppet to support dishonest politics.
Worthless bitch ...
Good riddance.
Not very old. Didn’t Jim die a few months ago? Often a couple dies within months of each other.
Indeed, she was apparently diagnosed with early lung cancer some years ago.
Interesting that she was all for banning guns but not banning cigarettes -- which are definitely not protected by the Constitution.
Agreed. Sarah Brady is more in the category of Carolyn McCarthy - someone whose life was touched by real tragedy and who reacted with blind emotion (and was likely steered in a particular direction by real traitors).
She was a tool, ultimately discarded when her effectiveness dwindled.
Prayers up for a misguided soul.
Sarah Brady found herself losing the lifestyle that her husband James brought as White House Press Secretary. What did she do? She exploited the anti-gun lobby the Left has worked for since President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy, and African-American activists Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. were assassinated in the 1960s.
The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence began in 1974, after Hinkley’s assassination attempt on President Reagan. Soon after that, in 1980, John Lennon was killed by Mark David Chapman. That gave the anti-gun lobby of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence increased interest of great benefit for the Brady’s.
In 2012, the financial picture of the non-profit organization was good:
Revenue: $4,914,821
Assets: $2,538,509
Contributions: $4,876,442
Be nice.
May she roast in peace.
That's better.
Keep it classy, FReepers.
Sound advice in this situation.
In the old southern tradition of.....
"If ya cain't say anything good then don't say anything at all"....
I've said all I'm gonna say.....
Was she shot ?
Lest we forget the outright hypocrisy:

Sarah Brady skirted gun laws in buying son’s rifle
New York Daily News

WASHINGTON - Gun-control advocate Sarah Brady bought her son a powerful rifle for Christmas in 2000 - and may have skirted Delaware state background-check requirements, the New York Daily News has learned.
Brady reveals in a new memoir that she bought James Brady Jr. a Remington .30-06, complete with scope and safety lock, at a Lewes, Del., gun shop.
“I can’t describe how I felt when I picked up that rifle, loaded it into my little car and drove home,” she writes. “It seemed so incredibly strange: Sarah Brady, of all people, packing heat.”
Brady became a household name as a crusader for stricter gun-control laws after her husband, James, then the White House press secretary, was seriously wounded in a 1981 assassination attempt on then-President Ronald Reagan.
Brady writes in “A Good Fight” that the unnamed gun shop ran federal Brady Law and Delaware state background checks with great fanfare.
The book suggests that she did not have her son checked, as required by Delaware state law.
“(W)hen the owner called in the checks, it seemed to me he spoke unnecessarily loudly, repeating and spelling my name over and over on the phone,” Brady writes.
Amy Stillwell, a spokeswoman for The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said the federal Brady Law does not require background checks for intrafamily gun
gifts.
Stillwell said she did not know whether her son was checked under the state law. The Delaware Department of Justice says the state does not have an exemption
for family gifts.
“Scott is not a convicted felon, and he is not prohibited from owning a gun,” Stillwell said. “Scott Brady could walk into a store and buy a - he is not a prohibited purchaser.”
Delaware Justice Department spokeswoman Lori Sitler said the purchase could be illegal under state law if Brady did not also say who she was buying the gun for and submit his “name, rank and serial number” for a full check.
“You can’t purchase a gun for someone else,” Sitler said yesterday. “That would be a ‘straw purchase.’ You’ve got a problem right there.”
Anti-gun control advocates were surprised to hear of Brady’s foray into their world.
“We hope that it’s innocuous and there’s been no laws violated,” said James Jay Baker, chief lobbyist for the National Rifle Association. “It’s obviously interesting that Sarah would be purchasing firearms of any kind for anybody, given her championing of restrictive guns laws for everyone.”
“I dont know if that map is accurate. Arizona was definitely a carry state in 1986.”
I agree and thank Drew68 for posting the maps.
In New York there are certain counties that are ‘shall issue’ provided that you pass the background check. Luckily, we reside in one of those counties and had absolutely no problem in getting our “No restriction” CCW, which is observed throughout the entire state (except NYC).
“Certain states and jurisdictions, while “may-issue” by law, direct their issuing authorities to issue licenses to all or nearly all qualified applicants, and as such they are considered “shall-issue” in practice. Connecticut, and certain cities and counties in California, Massachusetts, and New York are examples.”

I wonder if she had a moment of clarity on her deathbed and asked forgiveness for trying to take away peoples natural rights? Doubtful.
IMO these anti-gun nuts and their immediate family should be banned from owning a gun.
You know that whole practice what they preach thing.
Well put. That is the reason I cannot work up a good '15 minute hate' for her. I can find her very distasteful -- and I always have -- but I cannot hate her.
