Never one to bemoan an increasing amount of options in 22LR, I am pleased to see Savage releasing the Landry Signature Series Rifles. Modeled with input from Troy, Jacob, and Chase Landry (from Swamp People), the Landry series rifles feature a synthetic stock with a transferred gator camouflage pattern.

Too bad. Some fried gator tail would be pretty yummy right now.

That thing is too purty to rattle around in the bottom of a john-boat, with the blood and guts of dead gators!

Seriously, I've yet to see a "maintained" rifle on one of those boats.

Most of them are rusted, stocks cracked or even broken, the misfires and fail-fires are epidemic (but make for good story line) and they are usually the cheapest POS they can find.

It's just me, but if I were doing that, I'd be carrying a Bond Arms derringer in .22 mag for dispatching the gators.

Stays in my pocket, out of the way, got 2 shots, just easier all around.

Or a cut-down .410 with slugs.

There are some two-legged creatures that have to be dealt with out there, sometimes.

That swamp is a dangerous place.

That’s what Bruce used to carry until he got a partner. But the editing on the show is simply awful. They go from one rifle in one frame to another and even backwards with the bolt on the left in one scene and then on the right in the next scene on the same gun. Oh well, lookin’ for 10’ 7.5” now.

A young blonde was on vacation in the depths of Louisiana.

She wanted a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.

After becoming very frustrated with the “no haggle” attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted, “Maybe I’ll just go out and catch my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes at a reasonable price!”

The shopkeeper said, “By all means, be my guest. Maybe you’ll luck out and catch yourself a big one!”

Determined, the blonde turned and headed for the swamps, set on catching herself an alligator.

Later in the day, the shopkeeper was driving home, when he spotted the young woman standing waist deep in the water, shotgun in hand.

Just then, he saw a huge 9-foot alligator swimming quickly toward her. She took aim, killed the creature, and with a great deal of effort hauled it on to the swamp bank.

Lying nearby were several more of the dead creatures. The shopkeeper watched in amazement.

Just then the blonde flipped the alligator on its back. Frustrated, she shouts out, “Damn it, this one isn’t wearing any shoes either!”

...the editing on the show is simply awful.

Yeah, one of the reasons I don't watch it as much as I once did.

They really need to address that.

And, it appears to be the same case with a lot of the “reality” shows now. Poor production practice for sure. But they must figure we’re too stupid to notice.

Re: Television professional morons-—an example

I have seen the same Douglas Dauntless dive bombers attack Pearl Harbor a dozen times. In March I saw something new though——Ju 87 Stukas attacking Pearl Harbor.

Yeah, they came off those Nazi aircraft carriers that attacked Pearl Harbor.
