Salon: Pizzeria Closed After Death Threats Getting Exactly What It Deserved
Alex Griswold4:00 PM 04/02/2015 164103
Liberal clickbait factory Salon.com wants to let you know that Memories Pizza, the pizzeria supportive of Indianas Religious Freedom Act that was forced to close after constant abuse and death threats, got exactly what it deserved. (RELATED: Owners Of Indiana Pizzeria Opposed To Gay Marriage Receive Death Threats)
In a now-deleted tweet, Salons Twitter account gloated over the closure of anti-LGBT pizza shop:
Pizza The link in the body of the tweet goes to a very brief Salon article which reports on Memories Pizzas closure, but omits any mention of the death threats:
The owners of a small-town pizza shop who showed support for Indianas controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act have announced that they will be closing indefinitely, after facing mounting protests outside the physical establishment and online. Memories Pizza owner Kevin OConnor told Fox News on Wednesday that due to an inability to differentiate between real and fake orders, he and his family would be taking a break. Because I dont believe in something that they want, they see fit to be angry about it, OConnor said. Its just been ugly. I dont know what to call it. Conservative Twitter users hit back at Salon over the tweet.
Yam Skinner @YamSkinner Follow @Salon It "deserves" to receive death threats and threats of arson? Wow, you guys really are tolerant. 6:35 AM - 2 Apr 2015
Phineas Fahrquar @irishspy Follow I say this with all sincerity, @Salon: Go. To. Hell. 9:14 AM - 2 Apr 2015
Popehat @Popehat Follow Just when I thought Salon couldn't get any more vile: 9:08 AM - 2 Apr 2015
Ashe Schow ✔ @AsheSchow Follow So @Salon deleted this tweet endorsing death threats and arson but didnt apologize: 9:35 AM - 2 Apr 2015
They have raised $511,000 in Go Fund Me as of this morning.
over $500,000 now to be exact
And I would wager that pressure will be brought to bear on Go Fund Me not to distribute the $.
“Salon” is liberalspeak for “CrystalNacht”.
I believe they’re up to around 500 k since the attack began
This is the first time I agree with Salon
They got what they deserved
The Quakers fled Europe because of this kind of religious persecution.
Half a million dollars, you mean? Correct, Salon!
CHOKE ON IT
Feel the love and tolerance from the left.
Let them pick on a Muslim service provider.
Oh, but they don’t want to lose their heads over it.
> The Quakers fled Europe because of this kind of religious
> persecution.
There is no place left to go.
And here is the problem we face. We all know that Islam is a danger to Western Civilization. Do we take actions to make them flee the U.S.? We believe in religious freedom, but we are in a unique situation that Islam will destroy this nation’s religious freedom.
I hope this will be our response every time Big Gay or leftist thugs use this tactic against people of conscience and their businesses. During the homosexual assault on ChicFilet a few years ago I ate lunch there three days in a row.
This whole pizzeria episode is the very definition of “manufactured outrage” on the Left. What gay wedding wants to serve small town pizza? None. None gay weddings. A reporter went looking for someone to say something anti-gay somewhere in Indiana, found someone, and then it went viral not because this pizzeria is a threat to anyone’s right to obtain nuptial comestibles, but just because someone has had the nerve to say something that’s not consistent with the liberal orthodoxy.
So much for the Liberal (capital “L”) tenants of tolerance & diversity, and the oft-repeated line “If you don’t like ____ don’t have/do/get/make one.”
And, heretofore, I was naive enough to think uber Liberal Salon was a mature, responsible organization.
Obviously, the place is run by a bunch of PUNKS!
> The only options are to resist or submit.
Both of them painful, but I’d rather die than live in slavery to such perfidious men and women.
Imagine if a conservative had said the same thing......there would be a national outcry.
