GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz is getting a big polling bump after his announcement that he will seek his party's nomination, Public Policy Polling reports.
Support for the first-term Texas senator, who opened his national campaign office in Houston on Tuesday, rose from 5 percent to 16 percent, PPP noted, pushing Cruz into the top-tier of Republicans who will likely make a primary run.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is leading the pack, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and then Cruz, whose popularity with conservatives in his party is growing, PPP said of its latest survey of likely GOP primary contenders. Bush and Walker narrowly lead polling in New Hampshire, one of the early primary states, according to a Suffolk University poll reported last week by The Wall Street Journal.
Others in the PPP survey include Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who ties retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 10 percent, followed by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 6 percent apiece. Rounding out the bottom are New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with 4 percent and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry at 3 percent.
PPP noted of Cruz's gains in a release Wednesday: "Cruz has really caught fire with voters identifying themselves as 'very conservative' since his announcement....

My two cents:
If Hillary committed a felony by destroying her emails, then this could be the end of her candidacy.
If she doesn’t run, I think Republicans would be more likely to nominate a Cruz, rather than an establishment candidate who is deemed ‘more electable’.
Especially after he kicks everyone’s ass in the debates.
Hillary IMO won’t run...she will be eviscerated and she has no record of anything to point too...just corruption, Benghazi, and riding Bill’s coattails as he womanized.
I think Warren will jump in.

Actually IF we allowed him to steal a few billion Newt Gingrich.. sounds nice..
Newt is just slimey enough to out think the shadow givernment..
Let the Statists take one step forward and 20 backward..
Even he brags about being progressive...
And with some Grecian Formula he could have good hair..

properly motivated he could be our Paul Bunyan..
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !
Corrupt politicians can be fairly honest if you pay them enough..
Only in your delusions.
Only in your delusions.
Speaking of delusions;.... what are republicans gonna do about massive voter fraud in 2016?..
NOTHING?.. you know........ like last time...
Two takes. I have always said that polls this early were pure name recognition and little else. Before he announced, most voters outside of Texas had never heard of Ted Cruz, let alone know what he looks like or ever heard him speak, let alone debate anyone. All these polls with Hilary Clinton beating all the potential GOP candidates is mostly from name recognition. Given how really personable, pleasant, super smart, and a great debater Ted Cruz is, and give how the media have painted him as some kind of wild eyed crazy nut, the person with the most to gain when the debates start is Ted Cruz. Voters are going to be blown away by Ted Cruz when they see him in the debates. For the life of me, I just don’t see how Hilary Clinton wins any debate with Ted Cruz. Everything about Hilary Clinton is fake, while everything about Ted Cruz is genuine. Not to mention Cruz is actually right on the issues and can argue his case more than anyone else. Those MSM haters will eat their words.
My second take is since this is a PPP (Democratic Party leaning) poll, they could have 1. Inflated Ted Cruz’s numbers in the belief that he’d be easiest to beat. 2. Deflated his numbers to keep him down cause they screwy fear him most. We will see what other polls say.
There will be a heck of a lot less voter fraud in states like Wisconsin with their new voter id laws than there was before.
