I saw the interview last night.

She is calling for all sorts of ‘populist’ freebees for voters, all taken from others who presumably have less numbers to vote. Two types:

1) Direct government handouts, like paying off others student loans
2) Employer mandates like minimum wage, equal pay,..

She would expand it — i.e., higher benefits, lower earnings eligibility, which means higher taxes.

What she probably didn’t say is that she would also means test it, if she could. So, the taxes for SS would go up, but those who paid them would not receive the pension when they retired.

A further transformation of SS from safety net to blatant resdistribution, IMHO.
