A former executive of a medical device company says a video of him bullying a Chick-fil-A employee has destroyed his career. Adam Smith once earned more than $200,000 a year as the chief financial officer of Tuscon-based Vante. The married father of four is now unemployed and living on food stamps three years after his videotaped rant went viral online.
In the video, Smith berates a Chick-fil-A employee for working at a company that supports anti-gay organizations.
"Chick-Fil-A is a hateful corporation," Smith said. "I don't know how you live with yourself and work here. I don't understand it. This is a horrible corporation with horrible values. You deserve better."
At the time, Chick-fil-A was facing a huge public backlash for its financial support of anti-gay groups and for the company president's remarks against gay marriage.
Smith was promptly fired from his job.
"I got into work and the receptionist, the first thing, big eyes, 'Adam, what did you do?' ... she said, 'The voicemail is completely full, and it's full of bomb threats,'" Smith told ABC News.

This is the statement of Chick-Fil-A’s Dan Cathy that caused Adam Smith ( yes, that’s his name ) to rant (you decide if this is anti-gay or not):
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that...we know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”

Think before you speak. Serves him right, what could a lowly drive-up cashier have anything to do with the corporate decisions of Chick-Fil-A? He was full of hatred and he felt it was his right to give someone who he thought was beneath him a “public lashing”, well guess he got what he had coming to him. Zero sympathy for him.

So what happened to “free speech”? if you lose your job over your words there is no free speech. It’s a fascist dicatorship, with private enterprise carrying out the purges of dissenters, instead of the government doing the dirty work.
Hire him as what? He’s proven he is not management material. He’s not even food clerk material. Maybe he can empty the trash and do janitorial work. But I wouldn’t hire him to be supervising any one else, and I wouldn’t want him interfacing with customers or vendors.

Half this country is out of work because of liberal economic policies like the kind this guy supports.
So why should I feel sorry for him now?
His company isn’t the government.
He serves at their pleasure, and apparently they were displeased.
But not to worry, he can get free water from Chic...
From what that Vante company made ... he has experience with catheters. Maybe he can get a job now inserting them in patients at some medical facility.

Picking on a cashier WHILE YOU ARE VIDEOING IT AND THEN POSTING YOUR OWN VIDEO ON THE INTERNETS FOR ALL TO SEE YOUR A$$ IN FULL VIEW is also, as you say, a bad idea.
I mean who would hire this guy for a job that required judgement?
